Associations Charities That specialise in Service clubs

Edwinstowe & The Dukeries Lions Club serves the community as well as helping people internationally. Their work with people who are elderly, disabled and or disadvantaged, benefits not only those who are helped, but also the wider community by making it a better place to live and work. They also make grants to national and international appeals (eg to relieve poverty respond to disaster relief.

Our Club is a member of Rotary International. Collects and raises funds for distrubution to local and international charities including the Rotary International foundation charities.

Upon Trust to apply both the capital and income thereof to or for the relief of the poor and needy or such other Charitable purposes as the Club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

The club organises activities whose purpose is to raise funds for the charities it supports. These activities include quiz nights, race nights, lotteries as well as seeking sponsorship from local businesses. It also raises money from its members.

The Charity operates as part of Weymouth Rotary Club to give grants to local & overseas causes. Often given to help organisations supporting young people but it is not prescriptive and individuals and other local groups can be helped.

Service to the local community and internationally

For the benefit of the poor and needy or to or for the benefit of such other charitable institutions, societies and objects as the club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

Glantawe (Swansea Valley) Lions support individuals and organisations in the Swansea Valley. We give out Food Parcels at Christmas. We support local foodbanks within our area. We encourage individuals to remember a loved one at Christmas with our 4 Trees of Light. We run a monthly coffee morning. We collect spectacles as part of our Sight First campaign. We give out Message in a Bottle canisters.

A NUMBER OF FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES WERE UNDERTAKEN INCLUDING THE ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT, A SPRING LUNCH, AN INDOOR BEER FESTIVAL, AND FESTIVE COLLECTIONS. IN ADDITION SEVERAL CHARITY COMMUNITY EVENTS . FUNDS RAISED ARE USED TO PROVIDE LOCAL SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY YOUNG AND DISABLED. IN ADDITION MANY LOCAL AND MAJOR INTERNATIONAL CHARITIES ARE SUPPORTED.

RAISING FUNDS FOR THOSE IN NEED.

Fund raising events for both specific and general purposes. Supporting a local Disabled Sports Club. Supporting the Rotary Charity: End Polio Now. Social events for members, guests etc.

The object of the charity is to apply all monies received by the trustees for the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purpose as the Rotary Club of Kingston upon Thames shall direct.

Sponsorship of Charitable events and donations through the raising of funds from both club members and members of the public

The charity receives donations from fundraising activities carried out by volunteers. Funds raised are applied in support of individuals and charities in the local community and projects of Lions International.

We arrange Fund-raising events to provide the income to meet our stated objectives

Holding events of varying types for the purpose of raising money from the public and from members of the club and thereafter dispensing the fund for the relief of the poor and needy both locally and throughout the world.

We are a Lions Club which raises funds to support good causes and serve the community.
