Also to maintain the Hednesford war memorial and associated gardens and to improve it as a local garden amenity. Where possible we enhance the local environment with planting.

Raising funds for nominated local, national and international charities.

We annually hold a variety of fund raising events involving such things as quizs; collecting outside supermarkets during the Christmas period; street collections and being involved in town celebration days within the borough of Swale. With money raised we consider applications for assistance not just from local people but also some international cases.

Hykeham Lions Club is a member of Lions Clubs International, a global service organisation.

Collections, sales of donated items, car boot sales, other fundraising public events

Rotary Club

As well as providing grants to deserving causes within our community and the Lions District and Multiple District the Lions Club of Leek undertake a number of community service projects :-Christmas lunch for members of the Leek Stroke Club, Spectacle Recycling. Message in a Bottle, Message in a Wallet, In Case of Emergency Labels and Santa Duties

Community Service, International Service and Rotary Foundation Charity

For the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purposes as the club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.To make grants, donations to individuals, Rotary and other organisations (incl schools, charities, etc. and international relief) and provide human resources (e.g. staff/volunteers) for events including fundraising and community and vocational services.

Makes grants to individuals for educational purposes & training. The individuals are children & young people.

Management of the clubs affairs in accordance with the governing document and generation of funds for the relief of the poor and needy or to or for such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct and the distribution thereof.

We raise money at local fairs and through fundraising events which we then use to help local families, causes, youth groups and charities. Due to Covid-19 this year we have been unable to complete any fundraising but we are in the process of opening a shop in our local High Street

To raise money to support local charities and good causes and to support the wider range of Lions Clubs activities world wide. To provide support services to local communities.

Rotary Club

Working to support projects within the Community of Padstow and District, Cornwall and Lions Clubs International Foundation.

Our charity wishes to continue a wide remit as possible as indicated in A14 - It does not wish to offer a closer definition which may result in a restriction. Being a charity associated with a Rotary Club there is encouragement from Rotary International to consider particular projects/causes which the Rotary International president wishes to support in his/her presidential year.
