THE CHOIR PROVIDES A FRIENDLY OPPORTUNITY FOR MEN IN SOUTH CHESHIRE TO SING SOME 10 CONCERTS PER YEAR. OFTEN, WE SING FOR CHARITABLE CAUSES. WIVES AND PARTNERS TAKE A FULL PART IN CHOIR EVENTS AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES. WE ARE FORGING NEW CONTRACTS WITH OUR NEW AUTHORITY, CHESHIRE EAST. LINKS WITH TWIN TOWNS IN GERMANY AND POLAND CONTINUE.

The Waterlooville Men's Shed aims to promote social inclusion, particularly but not exclusively of older men, within the Waterlooville area and the surrounding area, through the provision of workshops, tools and equipment together with social activities where tasks for the local community, groups and individuals can be undertaken.

During the year we have arranged monthly trips throughout the summer. There are weekly activities: coffee & chat, with games and other activities as arranged. There are also other occasional activities - fundraising with Christmas and Easter fairs, Darlington carnival and a Christmas lunch.

Church Meetings and Social Activities.

The Foundation aims to help young people, living in difficult financial and/or social circumstances have greater opportunities to participate in sports and social activity. It is our belief that team sports and social activity increase not only the social well being of young people, but aids positive social development, increases confidence and self esteem, and teaches valuable life skills.

Educational and Social Group

Pirton JoyCare supports residents of Pirton aged sixty and over by arranging subsidised social activities, facilitating chiropody clinics, and through its Good Neighbour Scheme providing assistance such as transport to medical appointments, collection of prescriptions and conducting home visits.

Support for social activities and provision of equipment and other resources for the school children and their parents/carers.

CENTRE FOR VILLAGE CULTURAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

The hall is well used and appreciated by the villages and surrounding localities, on a weekly basis we provide the following activities toddler group, social club for senior citizens, martial arts ,youth club, radio club, bingo night.. also private hire for childrens parties etc. We confirm that SVHA is currently open for use for the community and is expected to stay this way for the future.

FUND RAISING FOR CHURCH AND OVER 60'S OUTING. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES E.G. WHIST DRIVES, BEETLE DRIVES AND TALKS. SUMMER FETE.

Carpet bowls for all ages competing against other community centres. Ladies groups playing beetle and bingo and other games. Dancing classes for all ages, tap and modern, line dancing, art and craft groups, young peoples activities, social groups to encourage social inclusion and cohesion and others.
