Manages & maintains the hall for use by the public.

Our activities are in association with Federation of National Womens Institute. Locally we arrange outings and monthly meetings. We also have to fundraise to keep our club going.

To enable women to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions both national and international, in music, drama and cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare. It seeks to give all women the opportunity of working together through the WI organisations and of putting into practice those ideals for which it stands.

Normal WI activities

A SOCIAL NETWORK FOR THE LADIES IN THE VILLAGE OF GREAT EASTON AND SURROUNDING AREA. WE ARE OPEN TO ALL LADIES AND HAVE MONTHLY MEETINGS WITH GUEST SPEAKERS TALKING ON MANY DIFFERENT SUBJECTS.

DURING THE YEAR THE CHARITY HAS BEEN DORMANT, INCURRING NO EXPENDITURE AND RECEIVING NO INCOME.

TO IMPROVE AND DEVELOP CONDITIONS OF RURAL LIFE AND TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF COUNTRYWOMEN IN CITIZENSHIP, IN PUBLIC QUESTIONS BOTH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL, IN MUSIC, DRAMA AND OTHER CULTURAL SUBJECTS, ALSO TO SECURE INSTRUCTION AND TRAINING IN ALL BRANCHES OF AGRICULTURE, HANDICRAFTS, HOME ECONOMICS, HEALTH AND SOCIAL WELFARE

To provide physical space and focus for the community of Weir, Lancashire, by building and running the "Doals Centre", a facility of a high standard that is appropriate and sustainable, which will nurture, support, enable, develop and maintain a healthy well educated, skilled, and fulfilled community with good employment and leisure opportunities to high standards.

The aim is to support individuals and research projects and assisting sufferers from long term and life threatening diseases

YOUTH TRAINING SESSIONS ON DANCE, SINGING, DRAMA AND EDUCATIONAL POWERPOINTS; RUNNNG TWO-DAY WORKSHOPS FOR NEW AND EXISTING WAIT MEMBERS;PERFORMING AT FESTIVALS, INTERFAITH EVENTS, SCHOOLS WHEN INVITED;FUNDRAISING THROUGH CONCERTS, BUSKING, SPONSORED WALKS, SELLING FOOD & CAKES;TRAVELLING ABROAD TO INTRODUCE WAIT AND SET UP EDUCATIONAL TEAMS, AND CLUBS.

Provide meaningful activities mainly for older people, usually woodcraft workshop based. Following a period of training in workshop practice and H & S members make items for their own use or to meet a need in the community. Regular craft work competitions are open to all members, a recent competition involved the making of wig stands (subsequently donated to Velindre Cancer Hospital)

The principal activity of the charity is develop a community wood with benches on the Tweed path remembering the members of the community of Horncliffe who served in WWII. Woodland will be planted and benches and appropriate interpretation installed. The plan will also celebrate wildlife, art and photography and the history of fishing by coble and net. Donate A Wig provides free wigs, makeovers and practical advice on how to cope and manage appearance related side effects from cancer treatment for women in the underprivileged communities in Africa.

We are Christian church, our aim is to win souls to God almighty, preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and also doing charity work i:e helping the needy.
