YMM was established to advance the musical education of children by helping and encouraging them to make music together from an early age. YMM provides a Saturday music school mainly for children but welcomes students of all ages. Blandford Opportunity Group is a pre-school playgroup for babies and children with special needs and disabilities. Regulated by Ofsted, we provide support for children from birth to 5 years, and for parents and carers. Sessions are held during term time in facilities which include a sensory room, playroom, family room and a wheelchair access disabled toilet.

Hastings & Rother YMCA opened in its present building in 1970 and a third generation of local people use its services. Over 850 children, young people & families come to its sports and activities each week. It offers roller skating and a wide range of sporting activities. Their youth offer includes, youth clubs and training in many forms. The well-respected Jigsaw Nursery is accommodated here too.
