As set out in the Pre- School Learning Alliance constitution, the aim of the Pre -School is to enhance the development and education of children under the statutory school age, this involves offering a safe environment with qualified staff, providing appropriate play facilities and activities.

Our aims are to enhance the development & education of children under school age in a parent involving, community based group. We provide a safe, secure & stimulating environment & work within a framework that ensures equality of opportunity for all children & families.

Sing for Pleasure encourages the enjoyment of better singing through:* A supportive and structured training programme for conductors, vocal leaders and teachers of class and choir.* A variety of quality singing opportunities for children and adults at all levels of experience and ability.* A well designed range of high quality singing, conducting and teaching resources.

OPAG work throughout the borough of Oldham to facilitate the increase of the quality and quantity of play and recreational opportunities for children and young people.

Antioch provides a community facility which is a base for - food/clothes bank, community businesses, business start-up units, children's play facilities, youth clubs, recording/rehearsal studios, conference/meeting rooms for hire by the local community, Sunday meetings, support groups, arts events, national conferences, training facilities for volunteers and young people.

To provide childcare and early years education through term-time for children aged 2 - 5 years. Also to provide before and after school provision for children aged 5 - 12 years and 7 weeks per annum holiday childcare for children aged 2 - 12 years. The Buttercross Pre-School is an organisation providing pre-school education for children aged 2 1/2 to 5 yrs. We are OFSTED registered and comply with all regulations and standards related to pre-school education. We are open for 10 sessions/week providing education for 25 children each session.

A playgroup for children aged 2 1/2 years - 5 years old. Children take part in a wide range of activities covering the 6 areas of learning, following the early years foundation stage, which typically includes a summer trip to either Cotswold Farm Park or Hatton Park, a Christmas production, an easter egg-stravaganza for parents and children and a sports day.

A small Ofsted regulated local preschool, run by a voluntary committee. The preschool accommodates children ages 2 years old to 5 years old, providing early years education. The preschool relies on fundraised money to support it.
