Home-Start Hertfordshire is a charity that supports families throughout Hertfordshire and covers the boroughs ofBroxbourne, Dacorum, East Hertfordshire, North Hertfordshire (excluding Royston), Stevenage, St Albans and WelwynHatfield. Home-Start Schemes offer support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children in local communities.

To advance the education of children, families and the wider community, in accordance with, but not limited to, the holistic principles of Waldorf education. Principally to achieve this by the establishment, development and maintenance of:(i) parent and baby / toddler groups;(ii) a kindergarten;(iii) a home education support group for 3 to 14 year olds;(iv) summer school;(iv) talks

Home-Start Wessex is a family support charity that provides vital care to families at a crucial time in their lives. The support is offered to families with at least one child under 5 through individually designed packages of practical and emotional help lasting for around 6 months. This is either provided with one-to-one support in their own homes or through group support and therapy.

Our church provides regular public worship, offers prayer & pastoral support & teaches Christianity through sermons, courses & groups. We provide activities with a Christian ethos for children & young people. We support local community needs (eg Soup kitchen, Night shelter, debt counselling, local church plant) & overseas mission partners (eg Christian Aid, Lamb hospital, CSW, Amos Trust.)

To provide full day care and educational sessional care for children aged 3 months to 11 years

Crisis accommodation, advice, information and trauma informed and responsive support for women and children fleeing or recovering from domestic violence including high risk of domestic homicide or serious harm.

The main activities of the charity are the provision of pre-school education and all day child care for 2-4 year olds. Wraparound care is provided for primary school age children during term time. During school holidays the centre caters for children up to the age of 14. The centre also runs a toddlers group, a youth group and provides adult education courses.

Provision of therapeutic riding lessons to around 300 disabled children and adults in one of the UK's largest equestrian centres purpose built for disabled riders. Set among 100 acres of fields and woodland, the Centre offers individual development, enabling clients to achieve skill and confidence in a safe, friendly and attractive environment.

Preschool children aged 2-5

The advancement of the development and education of young people in accordance with Christian principles and practice. This currently takes the form of providing childcare provision for children before and after school and throughout the day as a private nursery.

The relief of parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs in England and Wales where the need arises, by the provision of information, practical assistance and advice, and such other services as the Trustees shall deem necessary, with a view to meeting the educational needs of their children and improving their conditions of life.

WE AIM TO PROMOTE, ENHANCE & IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE & WELL BEING OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS, PEOPLE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY, AN AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DISORDER, A PHYSICAL DISABILITY, A SENSORY IMPAIRMENT, OLDER PEOPLE INCL PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA, CHILDREN & FAMILIES, AND CARERSWE WILL EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS TO INFLUENCE THE DESIGN, DELIVERY & MANAGEMENT OF LOCAL SERVICES.

The provision of therapeutic support via hydrotherapy, rebound therapy and swimming for children with additional needs, aged between 1 and 16, along with fun and educational activities, and including the whole family.

We work with vulnerable women and their children to improve their health and wellbeing, improve their life prospects and create stronger and more cohesive families. Our work is primarily carried out in Luton and Bedfordshire.

HOME-START OFFERS FREE SUPPORT, FRIENDSHIP AND PRACTICAL HELP TO FAMILIES WITH AT LEAST ONE CHILD UNDER FIVE WHO MAY BE UNDERGOING PRESSURES SUCH AS LONELINESS AND ISOLATION, DEPRESSION OR SEVERAL PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS. FAMILIES ARE VISITED REGULARLY IN THEIR OWN HOMES BY VOLUNTEERS WHO ALL HAVE EXPERIENCE OF PARENTING AND KNOW HOW HARD THINGS CAN BE.

THE CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION IMPROVES THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE NORTH EAST BY MAKING SERIOUS STUFF FUN. WE DEVELOP INNOVATION TO IMPROVE CHILDRENS HEALTH WITH A FOCUS ON EARLY YEARS, MENTAL HEALTH AND PHYSICAL HEALTH.

The charity is a purpose built day nursery looking after and educating children from 0 to 11 years.

6 Trustees oversee the work of Family Help Darlington CIO which provides a holistic package of support including refuge accommodation, Darlington's Women's Refuge, was founded in 1976 (charity reg no 506051) in order to provide safe, temporary accommodation for women and women with children fleeing domestic abuse. There is also a telephone helpline for victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
