The Trust is a small family-run trust which makes grants to charitable projects in any part of the world. Most projects are linked to the Society of Friends (Quakers) or are known personally to the Trustees. Grants are normally of up to £500, for development work rather than core running costs. Applications are not sought. We do not make grants to large national charities or to individuals.

We are a parent run charity whose aim is to support families of hearing impaired children. We run activity days, parties, trips and support parents in learning sign language.

Residential seminars and trips for families, with lectures/workshops and childrens programmes. One to one learning centres using volunteer tutors. Programmes for parents of children in primary schools. Home group regular discussions/education with a member of the seed staff. Large events with mixed educational/social content. BCS's work as a charity mainly concentrates in Birmingham,we intend to improve the life chances and the aspirations of the disadvantaged children through supporting their families into employment.People from South Asia and the Africa are concentrated in these areas and research has shown that the level of academic achievement is very poor.Our goal is to improve their overall quaility of life.

NALC promotes the welfare and rehabilitation of Laryngectomy patients, their families and to be of assistance to those professionals working in the field of Laryngectomy. WE OFFER SUPPORT, ADVICE AND INFORMATION TO PARENTS OF DEAF CHILDREN IN THE NORTH EAST AREA. WE AIM TO ORGANISE EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES TO HELP FAMILIES MEET AND SHARE EXPERIENCES TOGETHER

This association provides, along Christian principles, support, advice and assistance to persons irrespective of their background or beliefs around South Buckinghamshire, who are out of work or unemployed for redundancy or any other reason, and to their families and dependents. Offering a self-help group, members create mutual support with coaching in job search techniques at Monday meetings.

Braidwood School raises money in order to enhance and extend learning beyond the classroom, ie. residential visits and day courses. In addition we provide BSL classes for professionals working with the Deaf and to families and carers of Deaf children. Transport, food and residential costs are provided by the school for those children whose families are in necessitous circumstances.

Toy lending library for parents/carers of children aged birth to 5 in Cottenham and the surrounding villages; and organisers of other regular activities such as the Teddy Bears' Picnic, Christmas party, and bi-annual family fun weekend as part of FEFF etc. Cottenham Toy Library runs regular soft play mornings for pre-school children.

The relief of distress amongst foster carers working for Birmingham Social Services Department and specific family placement carers living in Birmingham and surrounding districts by provision of training, education advice, information and other charitable forms of support.

OUR MAIN AIM IS TO ACCOMMODATE LOCAL PEOPLE DURING THEIRLEISURE HOURS WITH NORMAL COMMUNITY CENTRE ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PENSIONERS CLUB, ARTHAMATHIC, ART CLASSES, FAMILY NIGHTSOCIAL EVENINGS, PRIVATE DAY NURSERY ETC. WE HAVE ABOUT 400 PEOPLE USING THE PREMISES PER WEEK, 10 COMMITTIE MEMBERS.WE OPERATE AT 70, BROOKSIDE RD, HAYES, MIDDLESEX

The charity provides support for cancer patients and their families and organises meetings and talks (by surgeons, oncologists and Cancer related services) every 2nd Thursday of the month at Marie Curie Hospice Solihull, B91 2PQ. Counsellor's are available on hand if needed. Telephone support and up to date information is also offered.

Contributing to the needs of a church and school in Nigeria and supporting a church in Kenya with a programme for the feeding of children for poor families.

The charity organizes fund-raising activities to help provide specialist equipment for the school. We also arrange events that benefit the pupils and their families.
