The choir promotes, improves, develops and maintains public appreciation in the musical arts generally and of choral music in particular. The choir makes donations to any charitable organisations that the committee may from time to time determine.

Newcastle Male chorus is dedicated to upholding the great choral tradition of male voice singing in the North East, through the study and practice of choral music in order to foster the public knowledge and appreciation of such music by public performance. We are a Sea Cadet unit serving Chichester and surrounding areas and a member of the Nation wide Sea Cadet Corps. We have volunteer uniformed and civilian male and female staff who train male and female Sea Cadets aged between 10 and 18 in the traditions and skills of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and the sea, including character and leadership training, canoeing, sailing and handling motor boats.

To foster and promote an appreciation of music through education and practice, in order, inter alia, to promote male choral singing in the United Kingdom and elsewhere around the World.

We perform charitable concerts for local senior citizens organisations/homes & religious organisations. We organise and perform biannual celebrity concerts bringing well known classical artists to the area for the entertainment and enjoyment of local residents and visitors.

The choir travel to various concert venues, singing to raise money for charities such as Leukaemia & Cancer Research, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance to name but a few. Travel and other costs are taken from funds that are raised by holding coffee mornings and raffles. The choir website is now up and running thus enabling the public to find out more about the choir.

We perform concerts mainly at local churches and church halls to allow them to raise money. We also have our own fund raising concerts and part of that money is donated to the local charity's such as Halton Haven Hospice.At our Christmas concert we donated to the charity Zoe's Place Baby Hospice. These performances take place mainly on Merseyside and in Cheshire.
