St Mags is a Jesus centred, Grace filled, Kingdom living community based in the heart of Torquay, welcoming people from all walks of life. The Living Room is our community cafe creating a safe place, particularly for the homeless, enabling us to signpost people to appropriate support organisations. Our Playroom welcomes over 50 children per week and we run various children's groups on Sundays.

We are part of the Diocese of Chester in the Church of England. There are 2 churches in the parish, St, Andrew's and Emmanuel. We provide services of worship, religious education and pastoral support. We provide specific activities for children, young people and also elderly members of the community.

Activities for all ages are undertaken with the aim of showing the love of Jesus Christ to all who come and providing an opportunity to present the message of the Gospel, through conversations or formal presentations. Avon Cat Rescue has been active for over 50 years. At premises in South Warwickshire, relinquished and stray cats receive sanctuary and care prior to rehoming. The charity does not practice euthanasia except on medical grounds and with veterinary advice, therefore non-rehomable cats may become permanent residents. The charity operates locally and, to a lesser degree, in adjacent counties.

The charity was established in 1869 to manage the Hibbert Almshouses, established in 1858 by Sarah and Mary Ann Hibbert for the elderly of the ancient parish of Clapham.
