WE SUPPORT PHARMACISTS, RETIRED AND FORMER PHARMACISTS, UNDERGRADUATE PHARMACY STUDENTS, PRE-REGISTRATION PHARMACISTS, WIDOWS OR WIDOWERS OF PHARMACISTS AND ANY MEMBER OF A PHARMACISTS FAMILY WHO IS DEPENDENT ON A PHARMACIST FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

We support the aims and objects of the W.I. by advancing the education of women for the public benefit in all areas including national and international issues, music, drama and other cultural subjects. The WI seems to give women the opportunity of working together through the organisation in their communities and of developing their capacity and skills and of putting into practice those ideals.

We run two 60 bed nursing homes and another building with 27 apartment for Assisted Living on site at St. George's Park, Burgess Hill, Sussex. In addition, we manage a 240 unit retirement village which offers Domiciliary Care services.

The W.I. exists to educate women, to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, expand their horizons and to develop and pass on skills. This is achieved through educational courses covering I.T., cookery, craft cultural pursuits, sport and health and many others. we run a community centre. within the centre we run a playgroup, We also now accomodate a children's centre. We hire rooms out to several groups which include diet and exercse, parent and toddler group, baby clinic,dancing classes, friendship group, widow group, chiropody and so on. We are sympathetic to charitable organisations wanting to use our centre.

Providing the opportunity for young people to come and hear Big Band Music and learn to play jazz in participation with other musicians, through weekly rehearsals in Central London and workshops in schools throughout the U.K.WEF 1.4.19, such activities have passed to sister charity, The National Youth Jazz Orchestra Limited (274578) and activity within this charity has ceased.

The principal activity of the charity in the year under review was that of promoting any charitable purpose for the benefit of women and children living in any part of the world subject to war conflict or civil unrest and in particular to relieve poverty, distress and sickness among such women and children and to advance their education.

To enable women to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions both national and international, in music, drama and cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare. It seeks to give all women the opportunity of working together through the WI organisations and of putting into practice those ideals for which it stands.

We aim to empower women and girls who have been traditionally disenfranchised from access to existing services, to effect positive change in their leisure, work and social environments. We do this by providing group work where women and girls can meet, have fun, learn new skills and look at issues relevant to their lives, building confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

The charity offers safe accommodation to vulnerable young women and children aged 16-25 yrs. We offer housing support services and specialist therapeutic care provision. We currently provide 13 units of accommodation and 10 units of outreach support.

The charity is based in Stockwell south London. We are a stay and play session for mothers and children, we run the following activies, art, outdoor fun, story time and sing a longs for children under the age of five. We also do day trips during the holidays to places like the farm, museums and seasides.
