To provide a place for young people to meet, congregate and play. The club also provides opportunities for any young person to go away on residential trips and to participate in many outdoor activities.This club also provides a service to the community, making its premises available to hire, to anyone, providing their activity is safe and legal.

We collect money from mainly within our membership, by circulation of a regular charity box, raffles and charity evenings. This money is used to support local charities and needy causes. Some of this money is also given to our Grand Charity for donation around the world to disaster areas for instance (Tsunami being one). We also support the needy widows of our past members and those in distress

Girl Guiding UK. We support and help members both Brownie Guides & Girl Guides to enjoy & participate inall activites the movement has to offer. This may also support the leaders running units to obtain training which will benefit the girls.

The unit follows Girlguiding UK's programme for Guides, girls aged 10-14, and takes part in local, county and national events and challenges as they arise. The unit camps usually once a year and girls are encouraged to take part in international camps. As we own our own hut, we are also involved in fundraising to maintain and improve it. We welcome girls from Thames Ditton and surrounding areas

To advance the education of women in important local and national political and social issues, music, drama and other cultural subjects, agriculture, crafts, home economics, science, health and social welfare. The 1st Nazeing Scout Group, which can be traced back to before the 2nd World War, joined together with Nazeing Girl Guiding sections during the 1970+?+?+?s to form the 1st Nazeing Scout and Guide Group. The Group is affiliated to both The Scout Association and Girl Guide Association.The groups have activities in the hut and field trips including camps visits to other groups

WI Darts team, WI bowling team, catering for local show, gardening and walking groups, support community by helping at local events, environment - planting trees, collecting litter. Theatre outings, craft groups - painting, pottery, etc. Speakers at meetings on topics of interest to members

We are all members and part of Girl Guiding UK. We give opportunities for girls to enjoy a girl lead environment for arts/crafts/homecraft skills/recreation etc. Our building and grounds provide holidays as well as weekly meetings for those in the movement age five upwards.

?In accordance with the terms of the Trust, grants are made from income to ladies in Nottingham who are, in the Trustees opinion, in need of financial help. The Trustee is satisfied that the purpose remain charitable and for the public benefit. The Trustee has complied with the duty in Section 4 of the Charity Act 2006 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Comm.?
