To provide a safe environment when young persons can learn to be part of a team, participate in all sides of drama activities including performing 'on stage ' to an audience.

Encouraging young musicians from the Colchester and surrounding area in Essex to meet on a regular basis to rehearse as a Youth Orchestra and give concerts, some for parents and friends and some public concerts, for the benefit first and foremost of these young people and for the general pleasure of those attending.

The Maritime Youth Group is a small independent charity. Leicestershire Deaf Children's Society (LDCS) is affiliated to the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS). We provide support on all aspects of deafness including communication, education, technology, social and behavioural and cultural issues. Membership is free. We provide social activities consisting of day and weekend trips, Christmas celebrations and youth activities.

Education and development of young people through a variety of activities and competitions including public speaking, stock judging, cookery and sports. 10 clubs across the county organise their own weekly meeting. Emphasis on social, fundraising and travel opportunities too.

The group aims to provide babies, children and young people with the opportunity to socialise in a fun, safe way ensuring their communication needs are met whilst also giving parents the chance to chat and share tips and support.

The development of health education for young people in the UK and support educational settings to create health promoting environments and to transform food culture within its setting and all stakeholders relating to the setting. HET continues to campaign in the areas of good food, access to free fresh drinking water and lobby with other national organisations to improve food services.
