Our purpose is to provide entertainment and an opportunity for socialising in a village where there is no pub, shop or other place for villagers to meet up. We have a structured programme of events and add to these throughout the year as we feel the village would like. These include a weekly soup gathering, harvest supper, christmas party, summer feast, quiz nights and others

We hold various fundraising events at the school including; Cake sales , Cinema nights, Easter egg shop, Leavers' disco, Christmas and May Fairs among other things. This is to raise money for our school to offer resources and activities that enhance the educational experience of the children.

Issue vouchers for use in local shops to elderly/poorer residents of Cheddar

St Clement is a very small village, we use the parish hall to keep the local community together. Other than the Church, we do not have anywhere to meet (no shop or public house). We hold fund raising events to cover the costs of electricity-water and general maintenance of the building. The hall is available for hiring by any group or individual.

i Minibus provides free transport for elderly to and from their residence to local shops and market. Applicable to Thaxted and surrounding area on a weekly basis.. ii Available to local organisations i.e. scouts, youth club, local church groups etc. by donations.

Basingstoke WI activities are as follows: Monthly meetings with a speaker or activity and time to socialize. Organised work shops and outings and regular members' groups, trips, walks and demonstrations in connection with craft, education, training, sport and culture and attendance at County and National WI events. Welfare for WI members.

As we have no school, shop or public house, the village hall is therefore the only focal point for the village. It provides a facility that is available to all the residents , various committees,social groups and is available for private functions to the villagers. The elected committee & trustees oversee the use, maintenance & provision of all the facilities that are available to all.

Work with local traders, residents, groups, volunteers and Councils to develop an approach to maximising the opportunity for people to shop locally; for visitors to be able to Stop, Shop, Eat, Explore Modbury .To maximise the historic value of the town.To improve the aesthetics of the town.To provide small sums to help local activities which improve the quality of life in the town.

Provides mobility services (eg mobility scooters, walking sticks, etc) to local people with a disability, on a temporary basis.

The Rose Cottage Charity Mickleton funds provides gift voucher for exchange at local shops each christmas. The recipients are the elderly and sick.

Raise money by small events held at the school e.g christmas bazaar , work shops , sponsored events

Distributing gift vouchers at Christmastime to elderly inhabitants (over 70 yrs.) of the town of Penrhyndeudraeth and the village of Minffordd which are redeemable at three retail shops in the town (butcher, newsagent and one grocery store). The vouchers are valued at approx.?4.50 on to which the retailers add a further 50p. About 100 vouchers are distributed annually.

The Charity was founded to support the poor and needy in the Parish of Great Milton, by means of gifts of winter fuel. These days make these gifts to people in the form of vouchers which can bee redeemed at the Village Shop.

Small donations within our budget are given annually to people deemed to be in need or have encountered difficult problems eg: bereavement, illness or poverty. In most cases these donations are given in cash so that the person concerned can utilise the gift in our village shop thus not necessitating travelling some distance by public transport (minimum return of 14 miles).

The charity runs a small shop within the Adelaide complex to provide elderly and disabled clients the opportunity of personally purchasing small everyday items and treats. It also holds raffles and competitions with proceeds helping to purchase little luxuries such as televisions for bedrooms, regular live entertainers and Christmas presents and treats for the clients resident at Christmas.

We raise funds to support cancer patients in North Wales. The charity and shop is run entirely by volunteers. Due to COVID-19 our charity shop is indefinitely closed as of March 2020.

The advancement of the knowledge and practice of the Jewish religion in relation to Kashrus (essentially, Jewish customs and dietary laws) among the members of the Jewish community in Brighton and Hove District. To act on behalf of the Jewish community of Brighton and Hove to promote the provision of Kosher food by supermarkets and shops. To supervise and license Kosher caterers.

The relief of poverty by the provision of clothing & other goods at low cost to people in need & (as an equal principal object) the promotion of any general charitable purposes in the City of Leeds &, in particular by means of the realisation for cash of donations in kind made to the Trust, & the application thereof for charitable purposes.

FUNDRAISING AND ADMINISTRATION OF BEQUESTS, SUPPORTING REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT AND PATIENT'S COMFORTS, SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF VOLUNTEERING AT GRANTHAM HOSPITAL THROUGH RADIO WITHAM, OUR ON-SITE RADIO STATION, OUR CAR DRIVER SCHEME, OUR CHARITY SHOP AND OTHER VOLUNTARY ROLES.

Supporting team basis of healthcare treatment such as physio, hydrotherapy and medicines (otherwise not available in NHS and not self funded.) We plan to improve shared help via shared care booklets and advising visitors with needs who call at our shop.

DOPWA supports the welfare of Duston residents who are aged 70 years or over. Activities include a Spring party, Summer coach outing and each elderly member is given a Christmas shopping voucher which may be spent in any of the Duston area shops. There is no membership fee. All activities are organised and run by our own volunteers. New helpers are always welcome.

Ecumenical christian charity operating a charity shop in Huyton (Knowsley) where funds raised through sale of goods and refreshments are used firstly via Christian Aid to assist developing countries, second to meet needs in Huyton and Merseyside and subsequently for any area of special need identified.

Supplying items of equipment for residents of the hospital who require more specialist items/ to improve their stay e.g. Special Beds, Chairs, Televisions, Electric fans, Telephones, Christmas presents.
