To advance the education of the public through grants to institutions including charities, colleges, research institutes and schools. The purpose of the charity is to promote, sustain and increase individual and collective knowledge and understanding of specific areas of study, skills and expertise including the arts, culture, heritage, music, science and sports.

The Foundation provides grants to organisations that support projects promoting education, civil society and research that contribute to economic development and well-being in a plural, rational and tolerant society.

The Trust is a philanthropic Trust funded by Man Group plc which makes grants to organisations supporting literacy, numeracy and education, with a focus on London.

Activities have been aimed at receiving tax-efficient donations to enable the making of charitable grants to support education for the public benefit at or in connection with Westminster School. In future, the Charity plans to support projects such as the award of bursaries to enable 'needs-blind' admission, refurbishment of Little Dean's Yard and the new Sports Centre.

To provide grants and bursaries to pupils of Notting Hill Prep School, who would not otherwise be able to attend the school, to enable them to further their Education.

N.B. We are not currently accepting unsolicited requests for funding. The Abstract Foundation makes grants to organisations and individuals, with a particular focus on projects which support young people and help them to improve their opportunities and quality of life.

Ockenden International works to support refugees, displaced people and their host communities as well as those returning from where they had fled with a view to facilitating the self-reliance of these target groups and their communities. Work is primarily overseas but also historically in the UK. Since 2010 Ockenden International has acted as a grant making body.

The David Brownlow Charitable Foundation is a grant giving charity dedicated to enhancing the lives and wellbeing of individuals and communities where there is an element of disadvatage, through personal development such as education, the provision of new equipment, or the improvement and regeneration of their community. It operates in the UK, mainly in the County of Berkshire.

Provision of almshouse accommodation for thirteen persons over the age of 55, with a preference for widows and single women, living in the "area of benefit" i.e. the south side of the River Thames up to a radius of 5 miles from the almshouses. Provision of grants to enable elderly people, living in the charity's area of benefit, to remain in their own homes.

The charity makes grants/donations to other charities registered with the Charity Commission as per the above categories. The Charity supports priests of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Plymouth by:* the payment of grants to Diocesan Priests in need;* the payment of Allowances to Diocesan Priests, (including former Members), who have resigned from ecclesiastical office;* the provision of assistance, of whatever kind, to relieve Diocesan Priests who are sick, infirm or elderly.
