Friends of the Old Vicarage School undertakes activities including an annual fete, children's event and quiz night to raise funds which are used to extend the amenities of the school by providing equipment or facilities (additional to those which can or should be provided from the resources of the school's governing body) and on occasions makes donations to UK registered charities

Predominantly organising an Open Gardens weekend on an annual basis in Walsham le Willows (Village) to provide funds for the charity's purposes which are to provide financial assistance in the Village together with some other small Viillage fundraising activities for similar purposes

The Trust promotes, supports, and develops research into British music by the continuing publication of Musica Britannica and by awarding grants to support new recordings of the Musica Britannica repertoire.Additionally, the Trust runs the annual Lewis Memorial Prize to provide support and opportunities for student performers.

Makes grants to organisations (including schools, charities etc.)

The Trust is a grant-making body. The activities of the Trust are restricted to the objectives as outlined in the Declaration of Trust as approved by the Charities Commissioners. The area that can benefit from the Trust's activities is restricted to the Unitary Authority areas of Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea and Vale of Glamorgan.

BEJT funds a hostel for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds in Delhi, and hostels for boys and girls in Itarsi MP, providing the children (mostly picked up on railway stations) with a place of safety and the chance of education. It makes occasional grants to organisations doing similar work, provides financial support to the sick or destitute, and enables poor children to get an education.
