The objects of the Sussex Beacon are to promote the prevention and control of the illness known as HIV/AIDS by public education and research and to relieve personal suffering from this illness and to support the families and friends of these persons. Action for M.E. was established for the relief of people suffering from the disease MyalgicEncephalomyelitis, (commonly known as M.E., or CFS/ME), and to provide information, advice and support, and to promote public education, campaigning and research into the disease.
