OSCAR Birmingham Ltd raises awareness of Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia, both red blood cell disorders and provides support and befriending services to those affected by these conditions. ALAG provides invaluable social support to high functioning but vulnerable adults on the autism spectrum. We support individuals to understand their diagnosis and provide the social and emotional support essential to their well-being. ALAG offers information, advice and guidance to our members and associates, supporting them to access services and engage in their community.

The trust is primarily a grant making organisation. However, the trustees intention for the immediate future is to retain the major part of the trust's income and capital to generate a realistic endowment. the current target funding is ·1,000,000.

Free Shop Crawley provides a choice of fresh food & vegetables, toiletries, baby clothes and other essential free of charge to struggling families in Crawley and the surrounding area who are either referred to Free Shop by an outside agency for example local council, home start, school/college or contact us direct.

To support Heart and Lung transplant patients of the Freeman Hospital, who are sick and convalescing, by providing advice relating to transplantation including financial assistance.Education of the public regarding transplantation and organ donation, and supporting vital research into Heart and Lung transplantation and after care.

We are a grant giving charitable trust which supports local organisations, charities and groups working primarily for and with people with sight loss. Grants are only awarded to those organisations who operate within our beneficial area of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Tees Valley, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. We do not award grants to individuals.

Community Outreach - Helping homeless people with food, accommodation and clothing. We are focusing on helping people in their homes by providing domiciliary care. We have a charity shop that also helps volunteers with special needs gain skills. We help look after widows and orphans in Zambia and other parts of Africa. We are currently building a nursing home in Zambia.

The charity fundraises and collects donations to assist with the advancement of health in babies in hospital special baby care units. This is done by the provision of grants or equipment to those hospital units directly.
