The Vardy Foundation was established to make grants and provide support to a range of charitable causes.

As a UK membership umbrella organisation, ARC UK provides information, training and support, networking opportunities and promotes best practice in service provision for people with a learning disability; as a campaigning organisation it seeks to influence policy and practice at local and national level.

RURAL MEDIA CHARITY COMBINES COMMUNITY AND INFORMAL EDUCATION WITH ARTS AND MEDIA PRODUCTION EXPERTISE TO EMPOWER RURAL COMMUNITIES,PARTICULARLY THOSE MOST DISADVANTAGED. THE RESULTS ARE HIGH-QUALITY PROJECTS AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES THAT GIVE RURAL COMMUNITIES A 'VOICE' AND INFORM POLICY DEVELOPMENT.

The Trustees will normally only make grants to registered charities experienced in their chosen field of work and never to individuals. Long-term core funding of appropriate work is the Trust's normal approach, taking the form of money given on a recurring annual basis subject to yearly re-submission and review. The Trust also runs an Awards Scheme in partnership with other organisations.

The objects of the Sussex Beacon are to promote the prevention and control of the illness known as HIV/AIDS by public education and research and to relieve personal suffering from this illness and to support the families and friends of these persons. To this end the charity runs a ten bedroom in patient unit offering respite, convalescent and terminal care, and a day care service.

The Trust is solely a grant-making charity particularly in the fields of The Advancement of Young People, Healthcare Research and Development and Cancer Relief , throughout the North West Region.

Almshouse provision and grant making

RSPCA Suffolk Central runs a Re-Homing Centre (also a holding area for injured wildlife until transfer/release) and Veterinary Clinics, which provide heavily subsidised care for the animals of people on low incomes. We offer low-cost microchipping, advice, and help with neutering/operations, etc., for people on low incomes. We run 5 shops which play a big role in our fundraising.

Creating opportunity, changing lives and overcoming disadvantage through language education.We work with partners on innovation, research, training and practical interventions. By generating and applying evidence, we aim to change practice, policy and systems for children, adults and communities in the UK disadvantaged through language.

To make grants for education & research.These activities are usually in an agricultural or rural context and often relate to new immigrants to Israel

The Foundation makes grants to charitable bodies in accordance with the objects set out in the trust deed. In addition to supporting local and national charities,mainly on a regular basis,the Foundation has made overseas grants to advance education,relieve poverty,sickness,and suffering some of which have been caused by conflict and disasters.

MAKES GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS

The charity operates a broad based grant making policy however the activities are often focused on health, education and religious activities.

We aim to encourage and inspire the best use of music, above all in Christian worship, formation and outreach. We do this by both direct and indirect education and training. Through our staff, volunteers and partnerships, we provide short courses, extended learning programmes, publications and resources, advice and advocacy.
