The Green Heart of East London, managing 32 acres of metropolitan green space as a country park; providing environmental education for children and youth especially the disadvantaged; equestrian centre, rare breeds of farm animals and poultry, childrens nursery; cafe and shop; training opportunities for long term unemployed; volunteering opportunities galore.

We work to improve the lives and life chances of young people in care & care leavers. We inform and support them via our publications and learning & skills workshops; we influence policy & practice by ensuring their views and experiences are heard; we provide support materials for foster carers and others responsible for their welfare & education and we develop innovative projects & best practice.

Established in the 1930s as a philanthropic educational project, Oval House developed as a specialist arts centre in the 1960s, maintaining a strong educational core to the work while establishing an identity as a seed-bedding space for some of Britain's most cutting edge new artists. The work falls into three areas, of equal policy priority:Theatre, Youth Arts and Arts in Education.

Within Sutton Coldfield :To provide Almshouses and related benefits for elderly beneficiaries. Make grants for the relief of persons who may be elderly, disadvantaged, disabled or in need of medical assistance.To provide special benefits to local education authority schools, places of worship, historic buildings and support community groups, recreation and leisure.

The charity's activities include the provision of grants & donations in support of educational, medical health, relief of poverty and religious institutions and organisations.

The provision of free, confidential, independent and impartial advice and information at a central Portsmouth and a central Havant location.

GRANT-MAKING

The objects of the charity are to promote, maintain, improve and advance public education, appreciation and understanding of Youth Arts. The charitable company continues to explore new ways of improving provision for young people in creative activities.

The principal objectives of the Charity are to open Parham to the public and maintain the historic Elizabethan House, its contents and surrounding parkland, woodlands and farmland amounting to approx 900 acres. Ancillary to the main activities of the Charity, other activities are undertaken e.g. catering room, house & garden shop, events and educational courses appropriate for this environment.

Grant making

Croydon Drop In is a free, confidential counselling, advocacy, outreach and health education charity who support infants, children & young people between the ages of 2 - 25 and families who live, study or work in the London Borough of Croydon. Drop In has a mobile unit know as Talkbus which travels across the Borough delivering our services to our community in their own environments.

Advancement of the education of the public by: 1) Offering courses of instruction to the public that will promote the mental and creative development of the individual, including Transcendental Meditation and related advanced techniques. 2) Establishing, conducting and maintaining an institution of further education and additional educational facilities. 3) Making grants to other charities.

Making grants to organisations and individuals in furtherance of the charity's objects

Viva! is a vegan charity campaigning to save animals. We reveal how farmed animals are treated and have placed many major investigations in the media. Viva! also educates and campaigns on the impact of diet on wildlife, the planet and our health. We present talks, cookery demos and produce a lovely array of helpful materials. We run the Vegan Recipe Club, 7 and 30 Day Vegan and My Vegan Town.

LionHeart helps RICS members and past members and their families in need. This includes financial assistance, counselling, legal advice, debt advice, employment advice and stress advice.

The aim of the charity is to offer grants to registered charities seeking to raise the quality of life, particularly for those who are young, disadvantaged, deprived, disabled or elderly. Grants are usually confined to specific items or projects in England and Wales and settled after the purchase has been confirmed. Giving advice and information across a wide range of social welfare law issues - debt, welfare benefits, employment, housing, family, consumer etc.The charity operates through a city centre main office and has 6 outreach bases across the Nottingham conurbation.

Demos exists to promote education and research for the public benefit in issues of politics, economics, and public policy; and to make the research findings publicly availably. It achieves these objectives by carrying out a wide range of research projects, organising lectures, seminars and conferences, and through publishing in a number of different formats.

St Hilda's is a multi-purpose community centre running a number of projects for the local population including an Older People's Project, an advice service including Legal Advice Clinics, youth groups, Food Co-op project, Women's Project, mental health support, creche and under 5s facilities and others. It also runs an off-site day centre service targeted at Bangladeshi older people.

Young Women's Trust champions young women aged 18 to 30 on low or no pay. Our purpose is to create a more equal world of work and raise young women's incomes. LONDON BLACK WOMEN'S PROJECT (LBWP) PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES UNDER A FRAMEWORK TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS: EMERGENCY ACCOMMODATION AND HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES, COUNSELLING, SERVICE FOR YOUNG WOMEN AND GIRLS INCLUDING SUPPORT GROUPS, AND LEGAL ADVICE AND INFORMATION.IN ADDITION LBWP PROVIDES CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING TO PROFESSIONALS, RESEARCH AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT.
