The Isaac Newton Trust was established as a Trust in 1988 by Trinity College. The Trust promotes learning, research and education in the University of Cambridge, primarily by providing support to early career researchers and by making research grants to departments and programmes within the University and its constituent Colleges.

The charity's objective is to provide, for youth in the United Kingdom,facilities for recreation and other leisuretime occupation; such facilities to be provided in the interests of social welfare within the meaning and subjectto the conditions of the Recreational Charities Act 1958; also to promote the education of the public and theadvancement of religion among youth in the United Kingdom.

Charleston is a house, garden and art gallery situated in the South Downs National Park. It was the home of twentieth century artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, who were key members of the Bloomsbury group. Charleston has a shop and cafe and is available for venue hire. It is open all year.
