The charity works to make later life as fulfilling as possible regardless of personal circumstances. It achieves this for older people and their family carers through providing information and advice, care and support services, and campaigning with and for them.

We give generalist advice and support to clients at our six sites and various outreach sites. We also provide specialist advice in debt and welfare benefits. We can also refer clients to specialist advisers from other organisations, in employment, immigration, housing etc

LEI works with partner organisations in Sub Saharan Africa to:(1)To improve schools and the quality of education they deliver so that children have better opportunities(2)To build the capacity of district departments of education (3)To support government education policy and to inform national and regional strategies (4)To facilitate partnerships between European and African education sectors.

Main area of activity is London Borough of Newham. Current activities include: medium level support for homeless 16-25 year olds; specialised support for homeless adults with alcohol and substance issues; training for disadvantaged students; crisis support for refugees; advocacy and advice for informal carers; children and young people's work; and operating community facilities.

Gingerbread (National Council for One Parent Families) is the national charity working with single parent families to understand their challenges and ensure that their needs are met. We provide expert information and advice, membership and training opportunities. We campaign against poverty and stigma to promote fair and equal treatment and opportunity for single parent families.

Organising and presenting international exhibitions of contemporary art and related events including performances, artists' commissions, films. Organising a broad education programme for a diverse audience from the city and region. Collaborating with artists and other organisations in this country and abroad. Operate cafe/bar and shop.

GRANT-MAKING

1. To promote the efficiency of the Army by providing immediate financial relief of persons who are in a condition of need, hardship or distress and are the dependants or next of kin of a deceased soldier or officer.2. If and insofar as trustees cannot apply the income for the object above, they will apply it in making grants to the ABF The Soldiers' Charity for their general purposes.

BREAST CANCER UK is dedicated to the primary prevention of breast cancer through scientific understanding, education, collaboration and policy change both nationally and internationally.

Advice and information

Citizens Advice Bury and Bolton aims to provide free, confidential, impartial and independent adviceand information for the benefit of the local community, to exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services and to ensure individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge or aninability to express their needs effectively

Advonet exists to ensure everyone can have their needs heard and their rights respected. It both delivers services directly and promotes independent advocacy provided by partners in Leeds and the surrounding area. Advonet will work to strengthen and empower, individuals, families and communities. Advonet will champion and inspire positive change in service provision.

Just4Children is passionate about the relief of sickness and preservation of health of children in the UK and Ireland by providing and assisting in the provision of grants to enable them to obtain medical treatment, therapies, living environments, equipment and holidays which would not otherwise be available to them.

To advance the education of the public, in the making of music and related activities particularly children and young people.

Ruils is a user-led charity that supports disabled children and adults to live independently & be part of their community. We deliver a range of holistic, outcome-focused services that aim to remove barriers to living an independent life including information, advice, advocacy, befriending, Direct Payments support, Social Prescribing and inclusive community activities.

Advice casework representation for people subject to immigration control.Support groups affected by immigration control e.g. the destitute, women, unaccompanied children/young people.Raising awareness, improving understanding and practice, providing training, workshops, and events. Work with others to secure/develop advice provision Campaign to support people under threat of deportation.

We will be the main contact for Carers' in East Kent, providing emotional support, information advice and guidance, training, advocacy and forums. We will work to promote the needs of Carers to Statutory Agencies, Voluntary Organisations and the wider public.

Citizens Advice West Northants and Cherwell provides advice, information and assistance on a wide range of issues including debt, benefits, employment, housing, consumer and family problems. Citizens Advice West Northants and Cherwell serves the areas of West Northamptonshire and North Oxfordshire.

THE CHARITY RUNS A VOUCHER SYSTEM ALLOWING DONORS TO MAKE GRANTS IN A TAX EFFICIENT MANNER.

Assisting the member bureaux to secure funding from Essex County Council and other county and national level bodies, acting as a conduit to the processing of these funds and to streamline the relationship between bureaux and funders.

The charity is a specialist organisation focusing exclusively on issues relating to the abuse of older people. We combine influencing, with the provision of information, and with practical help for older people, care providers and government/other statutory bodies. We provide a helpline and website; media work; training; conferences; membership; project work; and social policy activity.
