The charity operates a broad based grant making policy however the activities are often focused on health, education and religious activities.

Legal advice, representation, integration support services for asylum seekers, vulnerable migrants & refugees. We also provide capacity building support for charitable organisations, the public and voluntary sector, as well as undertaking campaigns on issues related to inequality, discrimination and prejudice

The Sisters of the Holy Cross support the religious and other charitable works carried on by the members of the Congregation, including the provision of education, care, social, pastoral and counselling services. Supporting the overseas missionary work of the Congregation and the provision of grants to other organisations in line with our Charitable objectives. Care is given to older Sisters.

Established in the 1930s as a philanthropic educational project, Oval House developed as a specialist arts centre in the 1960s, maintaining a strong educational core to the work while establishing an identity as a seed-bedding space for some of Britain's most cutting edge new artists. The work falls into three areas, of equal policy priority:Theatre, Youth Arts and Arts in Education.

To advance the education of the public in the arts by the production and promotion of ambitious and innovative contemporary art projects and events across a wide range of media.

The main area of charitable activity is the provision of grants to projects that support the primary objectives of the charity.

Support for girls and boys aged 11-25 years.Appointments for practical & emotion supportCourses to promote self-confidence, self-esteem & to improve life skillsSupport for women who have experienced the criminal justice system; with health & wellbeing; for victims/survivors of domestic violence/abuseActivities to promote social inclusion

The Charity has two aims:To offer free advice to the general publicand to develop social policies, both locally and nationally.

The main objectives of the National Centre for Writing are to advance the education of the public by the promotion, encouragement and development of creative writing and the appreciation of the written word in all its forms.

The Faculty: manages specialist training in occupational medicine; awards qualifications; supports & monitors CPD; promotes the importance of occupational health (OH) to, and advises, policy makers; supports research to provide an evidence base for OH practice; runs educational events & publishes educational materials & guidance for occupational medicine/health professionals & employees/ers.

The main aims of the charity are the promotion of the Catholic religion and hospitality to all visitors to the Abbey, in the spirit of the Rule of St Benedict. To preserve the spiritual identity of the Abbey and its Benedictine community through maintenance projects to preserve the Abbey and its building; and running the Abbey's tea shop, farm shop and art gallery for the benefit of its visitors.

The Foundation makes grants to charitable bodies in accordance with the objects set out in the trust deed. In addition to supporting local and national charities,mainly on a regular basis,the Foundation has made overseas grants to advance education,relieve poverty,sickness,and suffering some of which have been caused by conflict and disasters.

The principal activity of the Bureau is to provide the advice people need for the problems they face and to improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives.The Citizens Advice service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. It promotes equality and challenges discrimination

To: act as an adviser to the MoD and HMG on CCF matters; act as a source of information and advice for Contingent Commanders and CCF Officers; promote the CCF; provide financial grants to CCF cadets to assist their development; and, provide financial grants to CCF Contingents in order to help them establish or become more sustainable.

Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre is operated by the Trust for Public Benefit and offers a full range of sporting and leisure activities for the community.The Trust took over the operation of the centre in Summer 2013 following a successful community led campaign to save it, following the closure by Sheffield City Council in May 2013.
