The charity runs a primary school for girls of the orthodox Jewish faith in Edgware. The charity supplements the school curriculum by providing additional activities that will (a) expand the knowledge of the pupils by arranging trips to museums and other educational and recreational venues, and (b) teach new skills, for example after school clubs teaching dance, art and drama.

The charity is constituted as a company limited by guarantee, and is therefore governed by a memorandum and articles of association. The objects of the charity are;1. The charity's objects are the alleviation and relief of poverty, hardship and distress in the Hertfordshire area. The policies adopted in furtherance of these objectives are the provision of accommodation, assistance and meaningful work for homeless people in the Hertfordshire area within a community run in accordance with the concepts and principles of Emmaus and the international manifesto.

Barnet Youth Zone (Unitas) opened on June 23rd 2019. The vision at Unitas Youth Zone is to unite young people to help them fulfil their potential. We provide young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. We are open 7 days a week and deliver a range of exciting activity-based programmes that challenge, stimulate, and provide new opportunities for young people.
