We are a dog rescue charity.We specialise in rescuing abandoned dogs from local pounds,which are in danger of being put to sleep.We also raise awareness of the problem of abandoned dogs as a result of backyard breeding.We get to know our dogs by walking them and meeting and socialising with other dogs and we also introduce them to a home environment.We take them to our own homes,

A Young Persons Scouting Group based in the village of Monk Bretton Barnsley. The group caters for the following Scouting sections Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.The group activities cover Educational and Environmental as well as outside pursuits and away days covering all aspects of the Scouting ethos with the emphasis on fun and friendship and respect for others.

Ebenezer is an Evangelical Christian Church that provides worship and pastoral care in a traditional setting. It holds regular Sunday services, and other meetings throughout the year as appropriate. The church is also available, by arrangement, for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals.

Sheep Dog Trials

We are a voluntary run group aimed at parents, grandparents and carers with children up to school age. Children can experience mixing with others and playing with good quality toys and parents / carers can have a coffee, make friends and share experiences.

Penistone Ladies' Choir aims to develop an awareness and appreciation of music, particularly choral music, by means of public concerts and recitals. The Choir helps to foster community spirit and fellowship in music through joint performance with other individuals and musical groups and to encourage younger musicians to perform as part of our concerts in order to give them valuable experience.

Barnsley Bereavement Support Services offers free confidential help from appropriately trained volunteers to those who cannot come to terms with their bereavement. It is available to all those who live in the Barnsley District.

During the past year, the charity maintained active contacts with the ethnic minority groups & supported them in various ways. As charity itself in financial crisis no such help could be provided to other groups to enhance the potentiality of the youths. Facilities in training in indian arts, music, drama & basic computer provided together with healthcare, cultural & religious festivals.
