Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre is operated by the Trust for Public Benefit and offers a full range of sporting and leisure activities for the community.The Trust took over the operation of the centre in Summer 2013 following a successful community led campaign to save it, following the closure by Sheffield City Council in May 2013.

Alexandra Rose Charities is a charity established in memory of the Late Queen Alexandra. Mission Statement: Crossroads, promotes, offers, supports and delivers high quality services for carers and people with care needs in the Barnsley borough. Objective: We are committed to providing support to relieve the stresses experienced by carers and people with care needs by offering a respite service through the provision of community based carer support workers.

We assist pets in crisis situations. Our help is primarily focused on helping cats and dogs who are, or who are soon to be homeless. Each pet taken in, will be medically and behaviourally treated to build them up to the best they can be before finding them their new homes.We provide advice, education, assistance and a lifeline to the public in their times of need around their cat or dog.
