We give away free essential clothing, equipment and toiletries to families struggling financially in BANES with children under the age of 5. We work like a baby bank, accepting both referrals from professionals and self-referrals. We offer collection or delivery options within a certain area. We offer 'new mum consultations' to help prepare expectant mother's for their new arrival.

Providing Scouting to young people in North East Somerset

The charity operates in accordance with its charitable objectives, i.e. to advance the Christian faith in the Bath Deanery of the Church of England, Diocese of Bath and Wells, as the Trustees may from time to time think fit including through providing services for prayer and worship and pastoral care and outreach into the community.

Advancement of the arts, culture, heritage and science for the public benefit principally in Gloucester by creating and holding artistic, cultural and scientific events, festivals, exhibitions, talks, forums, debates and such other activities as the trustees deem appropriate in furthering the charity's purposes.

We arrange monthly lectures between September and April, with walks and field trips in the summer months. Members receive an annual journal and regular newsletters.

To advance the education of the public in the counties of Avon, Somerset and Wiltshire (or in any counties of different name which shall replace them)(the "area of benefit") by the provision of a museum of local artefacts and other items of historic or public interest.

Advancing the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment, in particular the conservation of exotic animals and their habitats, educating the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among such animals

The main activities undertaken by the Trust are the promotion of performances at the Rondo Theatre by both amateur and professional artists, undertaking to encourage and support new writing and emerging theatre companies, and supporting the Rondo Theatre Company, and children's theatre groups.

To advance the education of the public in the arts of music, drama and dance

Bath Welcomes Refugees has one simple aim: to bring to safety and security in the UK those people persecuted and in danger in their own countries and homelands, and in particular to help them settle in Bath or the surrounding area. Our activities include: locating and preparing housing, fundraising, befriending/resettlement support, English language teaching, providing social activities and more.

The restoration of native habitats through the conservation of wild birds of prey and owls; the engagement of diverse communities through nature based education and the development of new ethical raptor welfare standards in the UK.

One-to-one low-cost, long-term counselling and psychotherapy to Bristol and the surrounding area; Non-12 step alcohol support groups; Relapse prevention programmes. Training and supervision of counsellors offering the Swan counselling service.

We programme live music events offering performance opportunities for young people. We hold a 3-night music festival in partnership with a university culminating in over 200 young performers taking to the stage. We also raise funds to provide free musical opportunities. We now provide regular opportunities to learn how to be in a band and perform publicly through our Jam Lab Programme.

UNDERTAKE RESEARCH AND EDUCATION RELEVANT TO PRIMARY CARE AND GENERAL PRACTICE

To support learning, literacy, school facilities, nutrition, vocational skilling, and health of students, especially girls, at primary schools (particularly St Michael's Girls) and a secondary school within Bugweri District. To offer grants and financial aid in partnership with school managements. We support skilling of young adults under 30 years old working with registered local NGOs.

Religious Activities

TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM CANCER AND THEIR FAMILIES BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING WITH THE PROVISIONS OF EQUIPMENT FACILITIES AND SERVICES NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES AND BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT.

Regular public worship-open to all allowing a sacred space for prayer, listening and contemplation.Wedding, baptism and funeral services.

To promote and protect the physical and mental health of people living with dementia, their relatives and carers in Bristol and the surrounding area through the provision of support, education and practical advice.To raise dementia awareness amongst throughout Bristol and the surrounding area by the provision of workshops, awareness sessions and road shows.
