The production of plays and other activities connected with amateur drama and the cultivation of theatrical skills among members and the general public

The Trust is involved in the protection and conservation of historic parks and gardens. It promotes awareness of them through lectures, visits and study days. It awards grants for conservation projects and to schools and community groups to encourage horticultural activities. Research into historic designed landscapes is encouraged with findings being published in its Journal.

The charity supports the education and development of pupils.

Fundraising by means of concerts, talks or other public events, seeking donations and occasional sale of appropriate merchandise in order to maintain and improve the fabric, ornaments, fittings, furniture and monuments of the Church of Saint Andrew, Chew Magna, and to support the worship within that church.

The activities organised by this charity are consistent with upholding the objects of the Women's Institute charity of which the main purpose is to enable women who are associated with rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences, to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions both national and international, in music, drama.

Disposal of income generated from leasing the trust property to local organisations.

The PTA run various fundraising events throughout the school year such as Christmas and Summer fayres, family bingo, children's and adults quizes. It also raises funds through mechanisms such as Webb Ivory and Invitation books. The funds raised are spent in support of the school on things such as playground equipment, musical equipment and extra curricular events for pupils.
