PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF ALMSHOUSES FOR POOR PERSONS.

To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intelectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

General fundraising for Castle Newnham School in Bedford. We do this by fairs held at the school, quiz nights, discos, cake sales and sponsored events. Money raised is then used by the school to buy equipment and provide extra activities for the children.

Sea Cadet unit offering children training and recreation between the ages of 10 and 18

We help young people to become responsible adults through sport, teamwork and individual problem solving using a nautical theme.

Silsoe Young Farmers is a youth group run by the members for the members to advance their education in argiculture, home crafts, country life and related subjects. Making donations and grants

The preservation, repair, maintenance, restoration, improvement and ornamentation of the fabric of the Parish Church of St Paul, Bedford and other property used and occupied by the said Church.

The Friends of Kingsmoor Lower School Association raises funds to help pay for projects to enhance learning and enjoyment for all pupils.

Fund raising events for Pulford Lower School. We hold an annual Summer and Xmas Fayre as well as a Football Festival.

Provision of Hall and grounds for use by villagers and groups/societies. This includes Yoga, Community lunches, Art Groups, Singer group and Church and Council meetings, as well as ad-hoc bookings and various social/entertainment occasions organised by the Village Hall committee.

FLAG IS SOCIAL GROUP FOR ADULTS WITH PHYSICAL, SENSORY AND LEARNING DISABILITIES. WE HAVE WEEKLY DROP INS, MONTHLY COFFEE AND CAKE AFTERNOONS AND ORGANISE ON AVERAGE SEVEN EVENTS A YEAR, INCLUDING COACH TRIPS AND MEALS OUT.OUR EVENTS ARE SUBSIDISED AND MEMBERS WITH TRANSPORT ISSUES WILL BE PICKED UP BY A VOLUNTEER OR A TAXI WILL BE ARRANGED. MEMBERS CAN CLAIM UP ?20 AN EVENT TOWARDS TAXIS.

WE ENGAGE IN VARIOUS ASPECTS OF CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES AND GENERAL COUNSELLING. RELIEVING POVERTY BY PROVIDING ADVICE ON SEEKING EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION/TRAINING, DEBT, AND OTHER FINANCE-RELATED ISSUES. Local organists Association that work as a body to encourage interest in church organ music across the county.We host annual organ recitals with celebrities. Members of the association also hold an annual composite recital in various locations. We also visit churches with interesting organs where members are invited to play if they so wish. We also host workshops and lectures of interest.

The charity runs summer camps for all ages to experience a simple life living as a Quaker community.

General fundraising to enable the Charity to support both Rotary International Charities and also local charities. Support is given both to groups and also individuals within the Sandy area and we are involved with educational support to local schools.

TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE SCHOOL TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS

The Charity manages the Goldington Reading and Recreation Rooms and its fabric for the benefit of the local community.They are used for a variety of purposes such as Irish dancing, Barn Dancing, Ballet, Whist Drive, Performing Arts, Childrens' birthday parties and other "life" events, Yoga, Slimming World, public meetings and as a Polling station.
