Religious activities

MPSF provides a unique opportunity for city children to gain an insight into Food and Farming. The purpose built classroom, unique working farm facilities support teaching many aspects of the school curriculum in particular where our food comes from for age ranges up to KS4 and special needs. Trustees, Staff and Farmer have enabled to service to continue after BCC's OLS threatened its closure.

Shenpen UK helps preserve the unique cultural and spiritual heritage of Tibet. Charitable activities include sponsorship of overseas projects aimed at improving conditions for the Tibetan community in exile and hosting teaching programmes by His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, one of the highest Lamas in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and holder of the authentic Dzogchen lineage.

Our main activities are Sunday worship services (afternoon) open for the public. Children's Sunday School, fellowship group for prayer meeting and Bible study, evangelistic activities in the community, promotion of mission and matters of social concern, informal get togethers to consider the Christian faith, distributing Christian evangelical materials, and visiting the sick and elderly people.

We provide services for young people in the Hall Green area via our Youth Workers.

SNM serves and uplifts all people in the spirit of the Sikh principle of 'seva' (self-less service) and 'sarbat da bhalla' (for the benefit of all). We run the Northside Welcome Centre, in Erdington providing Information, Advice and Guidance, Counselling, IT classes, Job Club, one-to-one support for the unemployed or people in need, literacy & numeracy classes, yoga and Sikh religious programmes.

The charity (Ilyas Trust) is currently set up to raise funds direct from the public to advance the education of the children in Pakistan in particular but not exclusively by the establishment and running of a school.
