HOLY NAME SCHOOL PTA SPENDS THE YEAR RUNNING VARIOUS FORMS OF FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES. THESE RANGE FROM DISCOS, FAMILY NIGHTS, WINTER FAIR AND AN ANNUAL BBQ. ALL OF THE THE MONEY RAISED GOES INTO FUNDING VARIOUS THINGS FOR THE CHILDREN OF HOLY NAME SCHOOL. IN RECENT YEARS WE HAVE BOUGHT PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AND MARKINGS, WHITEBOARDS, LEAVERS GIFTS, DRESSING UP EQUIPMENT .

We are a close harmony singing group and give concerts for the public often in collaboration with others for local and national charities. We provide free learning workshops and courses in the community to encourage men to take up singing and learn the skills that will improve their confidence, health and wellbeing.

We issue vouchers to enable and encourage people to have their cats neutered, and we help with vet bills when owners are unable to fund full costs of urgent treatment for animals. We help support a network of local people who foster, rescue and home cats.

As a Scout Group we undertake all activates provided by the Scout association, by offering a progressive training scheme of physical activities, skills, team building and residential activities. The Midland Geotechnical Society organises evening lectures in the Birmingham area, generally once a month between October and May. The lectures are on a geotechnical topic and promote continued education of students, practising engineers and retired members of the geotechnical community. Occasional afternoon seminars and site visits are arranged. We make several financial awards per year.
