Through music, we bring reconciliation and development to regions where people suffer deprivation. We help young people discover their creative potential and use it to empower and advance themselves and their communities, promote equitable cultural exchange, build tolerance, fight poverty, restore confidence amongst the disenfranchised and heighten self-determination.

General charitable activities

We endeavour to develop the knowledge, understanding and practise of theatre within the Midlands, together with the provision of information, training and advocacy. Our objects and pricipal activity is to promote amateur theatre within the Midlands, particularly involving young people.

To promote and provide for the benefit of inhabitants, particularly children and young people up to the age of 25 in Dudley and the surrounding area, the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances.

BCS's work as a charity mainly concentrates in Birmingham,we intend to improve the life chances and the aspirations of the disadvantaged children through supporting their families into employment.People from South Asia and the Africa are concentrated in these areas and research has shown that the level of academic achievement is very poor.Our goal is to improve their overall quaility of life.

Provision of overseas aid in the form famine relief to the general public by the delivering of grants to individuals or organisations.

We have weekly meetings during term time for children between the ages of 6 years and 15 years. We also run 2 or 3 camps per year, and the children also take part in competitions set by the District Scout Group.

To draw to people's attention the history that is all around them. To support and encourage research into and conservation of the history of Smethwick.

Assisting the poor of Birmingham

To provide help and assistance to military patients and their families whilst the patient is rehabilitating from injuries. Assist with the decompression of the patient and provide for their needs both in a clinical and welfare capacity.

Religious Activities

We encourage education by providing a prize for the most meritorious completion of Advanced Diploma and certain other examinations of the Chartered Insurance Institute, subject to certain set criteria.

OARFDC has been a registered Charity since July 2006 (Registration Number 1115456). We work to benefit and educate African Refugees, Asylum Seekers and their families mainly from Central Africa. We are the only Refugee Groups in Oxford that address social welfare of refugees through Sports. We are affiliated to Football Association, We support refugees, Asylum seeker to break in sports industry.

Main Activities of the Association is to advance the Christian religion and support the Archbishop by providing funds towards maintaining renewing replacing repairing or extending the fabric fittings ornaments and contents in the Cathedral and assistance at the request and under the direction of the Dean in the general maintainance and other Charitable activities of the Cathedral.

The Trusts objective is to relieve either generally or individually, women, never having been married, of the age of 55 years and upwards, who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress by its activities of making grants of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.

The main activities of JSJS this year have centred around mainly on (a) Advice and guidance on employment, education, career, training and social issues (b) cultural activities such as discussion of Bengali prose and poetry and drama (d) practical support on CV preparation, availing job-adverts to clients, helping prepare for job interviews, (e) sign positing clients to other services.

Pioneers Leading the Way is an Eduactional charity that recruits, trains, CRB checks and places volunteer mentors. The mentors provide one to one support for young people in varying localities throughout Birmingham. Pioneers facilitate the training for Mentors including in house mentor preparotory training, Accreditation with Asdan CVQ, work based experience and career advice.
