The Friends of Five Ways seeks to develop relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school via quiz nights, plant sale and other activities. The funds raised through these activites allow the Friends of Five Ways to provide facilities and equipment which support the school and neighbourhood as well as advancing the education and welfare of the pupils.

The Dhinsa Family Educational Trust makes donations to schools in the Handsworth, Birmingham area as well as supporting other charitable causes.

We are a grant making trust. We focus on the prevention of suicide amongst ethnic minorities and mental health issues. We sponsor the Middlesex Girls Chess Championship under the aegis of Barnet Junior Chess. Most grants to West Midlands organizations.We are transferring our funds to Staffordshire Community Foundation but will continue to control grants from our trust.

To support the school in the provision of equipment and out of school acitivities for all pupils attending Hillcrest.

We are a group of disabled swimmers and their helpers (aged 10 to 95) from the local community who meet once a week at the University of Birmingham "Sport & Fitness" swimming pool. We have a session from 13.05 to 14.00 every Sunday in a 1.2 metre deep, 25 metre long pool. We have 2 lifeguards, poolside wheelchairs, hoists, steps and platforms to assist with entry and exit to and from the pool.

The Sick be Nourished Project donates medical/surgical equipment to a variety of medical facilities across the UK, Africa, and the Caribbean. We assist with emergency care needs. We also host health related workshops and provide information on health related topics, providing training initiatives and working with local practitioners to assist in developing services in their communities

General benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Sheldon as constituted in the year 1924

Playgroup for children from 0years to school age. There are toys of various descriptions and parents stay with children. There is a time for quiet at the end of the session when we sing songs. During the year we have a Teddy Bears Picnic, a visit to a farm and have a Christmas Party and Nativity.

The Sutton Coldfield Civic Society is a member of Civic Voice. The society's aims are to encourage the conservation of the best of the architectural features of Sutton Coldfield, encourage the development of the highest quality of new buildings, and minimise the heavy noise levels of roads in the town centre.

We are working with young people who have been dismissed from mainstream education to help them prepare for post 16 life by providing them with careers advice and mentoring them through their final year at secondary school.
