To raise funds for Bristol Museums' and Bristol Archives' collections, historic buildings, learning and community activities, exhibitions, events and allied activities in order to conserve the collections and make them widely accessible.

Provides Jewish educational, cultural and social programming and student support services in Bristol and the South West region.

We give in the main to charities whose primary object is to help people who are under privileged, disadvantaged, suffering or ill; young people in matters of accommodation or training; and old people requiring assistance or medical care at the end of their lives. We do not give to national charities and have a strong preference for small local charities within the Bristol area.

The Trauma Recovery Centre (TRC) exists to facilitate the creative and purposeful recovery of children facing challenge and crisis. The charity provides therapy and counselling to children and their carers who are facing trauma and extreme challenges; and training in the recovery from trauma and abuse to charities and organisations working with children and adults.

To advance the education of the public, particularly young people and their families, about all matters relating to drugs, alcohol and other substance misuse. To relieve sickness and distress amongst persons who are dependent on drugs or alcohol by supporting their rehabilitation. To preserve the good mental health of their relatives and carers by the provision of information and support.

Bristol Spear oversees the running of the Spear Centre in Bristol. In joint venture partnership with Resurgo Trust, Bristol Spear runs a free twelve-month programme beginning with an intensive six-week foundation phase aimed at getting disadvantaged young people (16-24) year olds ready for work, followed by support to find work or relevant further training.

The Learning Curve provides training, education and support to vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals to help them improve their lives. In addition, we support other third sector organisations who also contribute to these aims.

Advance the faith, doctrine and practices of the parent church namely ' Mar Thoma Church' for the benefit of its members and the public and to do all charitable work allowed under the law.

Projects designed to improve aspiration, achievement and attainment in schools

InterAct Stroke Support takes professional actors into hospitals and stroke clubs to read and interact with stroke survivors. This interaction alleviates boredom, depression and stimulates the brain, thus helping rehabilitation & recovery.Post stroke depression is common and neural stimulation has been shown to help the brain "adaptively rewire" finding new routes from A to B.

Religious Activities

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, in particular by the provision of facilities for the sport of rowing, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the greater Bristol region.

HF&CT will work together with local residents to utilise and improve the community building and provide educational, health and recreational initiatives, which will generate a sustainable, creative and inclusive community for those living and working in the area. HF&CT will also work with young parents and their children, empowering and engaging them in the community

St Matthew's benefits the local and wider community by providing Christian religious worship services, providing resources for moral and intellectual development, enabling Christians to give support to their local community, allowing third party organisations to use church buildings & facilities, by providing weddings, funerals & baptisms, and by providing a place for prayer and support.

The Trust provides grants to a range of institutions and individuals to help them deal with immediate needs. The Trust also supports a number of charities, particularly those engaged in caring for and educating children and young people in Bristol and the South West of England. It also provides grants to other charities that the trustees believe merit the support of the Trust.

We provide a Parent Carer Forum for Bristol; namely to be an effective strategic voice within Bristol representing families of children and young people 0 to 25 years with disabilities, special educational needs and life-limiting conditions, providing a partner to Statutory and Voluntary Agencies within Bristol.

Acts as an umbrella organisation for Scout Groups within Cabot Scout District

Provides nursery education and care for children from age 2 to 4 1/2 as well as running other services to support families with young children living in the area.

Partnering with churches to establish community sports teams that reach people through co-ordinated events. Activities include schools coaching ministry, prison outreach, sports dinners and quiz's. Sports Discipleship groups and mission trips.

Golden Hill Sports is a community-based charity that runs a sporting club for its members. GHS runs cricket for adult, ladies,girls and boys youth teams and a youth football section. We also run a Social Club for the benefit of the Club members and for the local community. In addition we hold various social events which are for members and the community.
