The principal charitable activity of the charity during the year was to support disabled, disadvantages, orphaned and sick children in Southeast Asia, particularly Myanmar (Burma).

The charity will organise a Literary Festival in Burma once a year (or at intervals determined by the trustees). International and Burmese participants will be drawn from the fields of literature and the wider arts and educational sectors. The Festival's schedule of panel discussions, readings, film screenings and exhibitions will all be open to the Myanmar public at large.

Our New Children's Choir project brings children from orphanages together to learn to sing and perform, taught by International coaches.The choir provides a platform for further study opportunities and improves children's life chances.The Orchestra for Myanmar project offers free International level training.Our Violin Program for Blind Children in Yangon provides training to young blind children.

We are a charity to alleviate poverty among war refugees in Burma ( Myanmar), who are forced to displace from the their homes by the Burmese Military forces, by providing foods, medicines, basic health assistance, basic educational needs and other basic humanitarian aids.

The Chris Shoesmith Global Foundation helps both backpackers and their families, we do this by giving honest help and advice as to any dangers that can be encountered whilst travelling.
