The principal activity is that of a holding company providing and equipping a training centre for use by the subsidiary trading company and to co-operate with the subsidiary company in the provision of industrial and commercial training and education.

We run a year-round programme of creative writing courses at three rural writing houses and also online, offering expert tuition from established writers in all forms of published writing to people from all backgrounds and experience. We run mentoring and other creative writing projects and a grant scheme to enable open access to our courses, and provide dedicated facilities for writers' retreats.

PROVISION OF A DAY CARE CENTRE TO SUPPORT & PROVIDE OPPERTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WITH COMPLEX DISABILITIES.

Animal Welfare Society - a branch of the RSPCA operating in the Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford areas. The branch has an animal centre in Halifax where we take in animals in greatest welfare need, often rescued from neglect and ill-treatment. We provide them a safe haven with veterinary treatment and care, we rehabilitate their behavior before finding them loving new homes.

Huddersfield Giants CT has responsibility for the management and co-ordination of all community activity on behalf of Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Club and The Zone. Using the power and influence of professional sport, HGCT engages the whole community into sport, leisure, health & educational activities, with the aim of raising fitness attainment and improving health.

Carers Trust Yorkshire a provider of support for carers in Huddersfield, Wakefield, Sth Leeds and Calderdale. Partner of Carer's Trust,Provide range of services for carers & people they look after, no age or type of illness or disability they have. Carers Trust MY works with 500 families who have caring responsibilities.Staff provides regular breaks to help carers & to give them peace of mind.

The principle activitiy of the company was the provision of live theatre and arts with and for disabled people.

Yorkshire Sport Foundation is a company which connects providers of sport and physical activity such as National Governing Bodies, Local Authorities, Schools, Colleges and universities and local clubs to work together to increase the number and quality of opportunities to take part across the South and West Yorkshire areas.

Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees exists to promote the well-being of all older people in Calderdale and Kirklees, recognising their right to independence, fulfilment, dignity and choice, working with them to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

The principal aim of the charity is the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homingh (except for our equines and farm animals) of stray and unwanted animals. The Charity provides care and shelter for stray, neglected and unwanted animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, cows and pigs.

TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE COMMUNITY OF YORKSHIRE AND THE HUMBER. Provision of advice, support, training, counselling to women and their children experiencing domestic abuse, poor health, deprivation, women with complex needs in Calderdale, Kirklees and in partnership across West Yorkshire. Womencentre is also involved in national training and development work in the fields of women centred working, children's safeguarding and the impact of domestic violence.

CANDLELIGHTERS SUPPORTS THE WORK OF THE REGIONAL PAEDIATRIC ONCOLOGY & HAEMATOLOGY UNIT IN LEEDS. FUNDING IS PROVIDED FOR HARDSHIP GRANTS, SUPPORT GROUPS, HOLIDAYS AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR FAMILIES WHOSE CHILDREN ARE UNDERGOING TREATMENT FOR CANCER OR LEUKAEMIA AT THE UNIT; MEDICAL AND OTHER EQUIPMENT; MEDICAL; NURSING AND SOCIAL SUPPORT STAFF AND RESEARCH INTO CHILDHOOD CANCER AND LEUKAEMIA

To benefit young people and adults with special needs by the provision of training and other facilities to enable such persons to acquire skills, confidence and the infrastructure neccessary for them to live a more independent and fulfilling life within the community.

OFFERS FREE AND IMPARTIAL ADVICE AND INFORMATION TO DISABLED PEOPLE, THEIR CARERS AND FAMILIES IN THE BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT ON BENEFITS, EQUIPMENT,PARKING, TRANSPORT, EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION,LEISURE, HOUSING AND HOLIDAYS. PROVIDES SHORT-TERM WHEELCHAIR AND DISABILITY EQUIPMENT HIRE.

The charities overall aims are the prevention and relief of poverty for homeless and vulnerable individuals. We aim to do this through the following ways: The Provision of Supported community housing schemes, to provide & mentor people into employment, education and training.To Nurture people into living purposeful lives for the benefit of themselves and the community.

LS-TEN deliver to Leeds:Alternative Education:Working at KS3&KS4 LS-TEN provide a robust curriculum to support host schools in educating children struggling in a mainstream school environment.Skatepark:An indoor skatepark with an outdoor area delivering wheeled sports to schools, community groups and people from across Leeds.Community Engagement:Both onsite and offsite provisions.

We receive referrals through our network of schools. We deliver a bed bundle for every child in the household that requires it; this includes a brand-new Bed, Mattress, Duvet, Pillow, Bed Sheets, Pyjamas and Hygiene Kit. We work with local partners to include Food Parcels and, if needed, a school uniform. We can also mediate between families and their support services, as well as making referrals.

The Charitable Incorporated Organisation offers grants to a wide variety of charities working in the local community. Funding is given exclusively to charities based in Yorkshire and directly benefitting only Yorkshire communities. Priority is given to charities working at the heart of communities to tackle disadvantage and to provide sustainable benefit to the community.
