Foundation Selective Grammar School

The Trust makes small donations/grants to individuals or groups residing within the boundaries of Calderdale to enable them to pursue activities which have educational benefit.

The Association aims to advance the education of the public and to promote research in geology and allied sciences more specifically in the North of England with particular emphasis on Yorkshire, by holding public lectures, and field meetings , supporting like-minded initiatives and by other such means as the Association's Council may from time to time determine.

The charity has continued to raise funds through a series of concerts, recitals, poetry readings and grant applications which are used to increase footfall and provide additional facilities for the Rydings complex. This has enabled us to extend our activities into the town and increase awareness and use of the building and its facilities

Providing assistance for the relief of poverty and assistance with Medical/Health/Sickness costs.

Organise events to raise funds for the benefit of the children in our school.

Working to maintain, to improve access to and interest in Halifax's Victorian cemetery

Maintenance & improvements to Highgate Methodist Church and relief for poor members of the congregation.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND MENTAL DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH SAILING

The Yorkshire Saxophone Choir provides opportunities for advanced players of the saxophone to rehearse and perform challenging saxophone choir repertoire. It is also committed to helping young and inexperienced saxophonists to improve thier performance through workshops and joint performances.It is also dedicated to rasing puplic awareness of the diverse range of saxophone music.

The Fund's main activity is to fund Learning Mentors in the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at St James's Hospital in Leeds. The role of the Learning Mentor is to assist patients to ensure that they can continue with their education whilst they are undergoing their treatment for cancer.

We are a Small Charity supporting young people 12-25 living in Kirklees, West Yorkshire and Surrounding areas. Delivering Activities that promote, Personal Development, Self Esteem. Employability, Volunteerism and Enterprise. Our services involve Community Learning, Youth intervention, Community engagement, Mentoring and Peer Counselling.

To support and promote the advancement of education, training and enterprise in the UK and Africa in ways that make a significant difference to the lives of people of all ages and gender, who are struggling with situations of poverty, deprivation and health issues.To share some of the practical advances of technology of the UK with a developing world as a means of accelerating their growth. .

The activity of the charity is to preserve and protect good mental health for the public benefit through the provision of art Psychotherapy for adults in the UK with severe and enduring long-term mental health problems, who describe childhood neglect, abuse or trauma.

We aim to promote the enjoyment of organs and organ music at all levels through workshops, master classes, forums, talks, visits and recitals at various venues in Calderdale. Help and advice is given on organ matters. Events are advertised locally and on our website. We cater for young and old. Non-members of any musical ability or none are welcome at our monthly events which are open to all.

Community work within the local area. Supporting various local, national and international charities by fund raising activities. Sponsoring young people involved in charity work overseas.

Children activities, training women in various fields - child protection, help with homework club for kids, etc.. Family day .

we have no current activities scheduled, but are in contact with businesses within our area's to arrange some charity fund raising events.

Fundraising activities - raffles, fayres, auctions, sponsored events.

to award discretionary grants to the under 25s, resident in Calderdale, seeking to pursue careers in the Arts.
