Turtle Dove Trust
EnvironmentThe Turtle Dove is a homing migratory dove kept in captive pairs, very prolific breeders and after laying two eggs, will lay again. The young are fostered by other tamer doves, and the young are released into the wild in late summer. They spend a month in specially constructed release pens, in order to familiarise them with natural food and their wild habitat. They will return every year.
