Friends of Thorndown schools hold fundraising activities that involve friends, families and pupils of the school. Such activities include disco's, fayres, bingo evenings, fashion shows, quiz evenings and auctions of promises.

The orchestra is established to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of orchestral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts. We generally perform 3 concerts per year at various venues round and about Peterborough, either on our own or in partnership with other musical societies.

The PTA supports Newnham Croft Primary School by providing funding, through fundraising events, for activities and equipment which enrich school provision and /or contribute to the social cohesion of the school and its community.
