VILLAGE HALL

Fund raising via quizzes, summer fayres, cake sales, fireworks and other village related activities. Main aim is to raise funds to provide additional resources and activities for the children of Gamlingay Village Primary.

General Charity Purposes, makes grants to individual members as required and to local charitable organisations

United Walsoken and Baxter Charities distributes annually to residents who are aged 65 years or more and who have lived in the ecclesiastical parish of Walsoken for five years or more. Recipients must also have been on the list of recipients for 1 year prior to the next distribution date. One gift per household.

Maintaining the Burwell War Memorial and attached cottage

Advancing education in Cambridge University by awards for actual or potential sporting excellence and financial need in that regard.

Provides grants to enable or support local Young Arts activities

Financial support for Elderly citizens and needy causes in the parish of Parson Drove.

The Association provides a framework of support for the school, parents and guardians, through social, educational and charitable events.

Provides extra resources for educational purposes

Provides and manages a hall and recreation ground for the use of local residents in Weston Colville Cambs.

To preserve the historical, architectural and constructional heritage of the Great Chishill Windmill and to advance the education of the public in all aspects of its history and use by:a/ repairing, refurbishing and restoring to sound condition and working order and,b/ conserving and maintaining the restored mill as a museum and heritage centre open to the public.

We fundraise and work with partners, so OA Foundation can offer grants and advice for enrichment programmes, via OA academies, that inspire Olive academy pupils and their families. Programmes supported involve extended learning opportunities, not activities that form part of the formal curriculum.

Promotion of concerts by professional musicians for residents of Weston and the surrounding area.

Coveney Village Hall is one of the very few amenities in Coveney and provides social and recreation facilities to all parishioners.

To advance education, preservation of health, and relief of poverty among the people in Nyansakia and other locations in kenya. Grants have been made towards employment of teaching staff by the local communities and for the puchase of materials and equipment for feeding programmes to help develop self sufficiency. Grants have been made towards connection of electricity and water to schools.

Chamber Choir

Fund raising for the specific purpose of maintaining and improving the fabric of St. Nicholas Church, Great Wilbraham

Involving the Sea Cadets in vocational projects, marine experience in small boats, and encouraging them to attend courses offered by the Royal Navy

Promoting understanding particularly of Vietnamese Buddhism and culture. Financial support: to help poor children in Vietnam obtain education, to assist Vietnamese monks and nuns train in meditation practice, to help those in need both in the UK and abroadFurther funds are being raised to help develop centres for the teaching and practice of Buddhism in the UK.

CTIM brings togerther representatives from Churches in March to promote the Christian faith through ecumenical services & activities; raising funds for Christian Aid; supporting & providing volunteers for the March Foodbank; collecting Shoe Boxes for the Samaritan's Purse Christmas Appeal;participating in town-wide events such as the Annual Christmas Lights Switch-On; promoting church activities.
