The charity has been established over 30 years and are the main fundraising body of the school. A wide range of events are organised throughout the year.The organisation is incredibly successful for a small primary school raising considerable funds each year. Monies raised by the association have helped purchase computer equipment, sports equipment and substantial playground equipment upgrades.

The objects of the Charity are to feed, neuter and provide veterinary care to feral cat colonies in the local area. We would also trap any kittens suitable for rehoming. We would secure the welfare of any domestic or small indigenous wild animal, bird or reptile in distress by providing food and veterinary treatment as required.

The charity regularly hosts community activities including a weekly Exercise , Keep Fit, Summer & Christmas events and fund-raising events.The charity also rents out space to various local SMEs . The local children regularly use the playing fields after school and during the school holidays

The PTFA organises social events for parents, children and friends of Hermitage Primary School. Funds raised are used to purchase equipment for drama, IT, sports and the library in the school.
