The Compassion Prison Ministry is a Pentecostal group of volunteers and chaplains from several quite different denominations, working in partnership with prison Chaplaincy Teams in the UK educating and encouraging offenders in rehabilitation back into the community.

The charity was set up to preserve, restore and maintain Trafford Mill which is a Grade II Listed Building of public and historical interest, particularly from the Industrial Revolution. We open to the public on national open days and hosted events, along with personalised tours to interest groups. We operate in the building itself, which is a fine example of living history in today's climate.

The activities of the Charitable Trust are to make grants and donations to individuals, groups, community associations, local or national charities in Denbigh, St Asaph, Llandudno, Ruthin, Tattenhall, Menai Bridge and in the surrounding areas of North Wales and Cheshire. Particular emphasis is made on local communities and grassroots benefit.

The relief of persons in Lancashire and Greater Manchester with learning difficulties or who have special needs, by provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving their conditions of life.

THE CHARITY RECEIVES A SMALL ANNUAL RENTAL INCOME FROM TWO BEQUEATHED FARM FIELDS. WE FIND SUITABLE LOCAL PEOPLE OR CAUSES TO DONATE MONEY TO ACCORDING TO THE TERMS OF THE CHARITY.

To relieve persons who are serving or who have served in the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Mercian Volunteers and in the Worcestershire and Staffordshire Companies of the Light Infantry and Mercian Volunteers and their widows, children or other dependents who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.To promote the efficiency of the Mercian Volunteers and to maintain its traditions

Young Sound Vision is for children who live in Stockport, Cheshire who are Deaf/Hearing Impaired, Blind or visually Impaired to help support them and their families. YSV arranges social activities.

Support of a restored industrial heritage working museum at the site of the Lion Salt Works in Marston, Northwich, which was the last working open pan salt works in the UK and is now a scheduled monument. Also education by the interpretation of the history of the site and former proprietors, the heritage of salt making in Cheshire and elsewhere, the science of salt and related products.

As income from fund is so small these days grants are made to the Chester Cathedral choir support group which includes both boy and girl choristers rather than individuals.

To manage the pavillion, the playing fields and associated sports for the village of Bunbury.

To help pupils in a variety of ways so long as they are considered to be in need of financial assistance. Tuition fees for music, educational visits, clothing, books etc.

Providing musical entertainment and diversion by means of brass band concerts on behalf of the local communities, schools, churches, and charitable organisations.Teaching the playing of brass instruments for all age groups within the local communities.

Provides tapes and memory sticks with local news and magazine items for blind and partially sighted listeners

The group does astronomy, as well as providing education for both its members and the wider community, e.g. to scout or guide troops, or to external astronomy events.

The Trust by Deed was established to assist young people in full time education realise their potential in rowing as a sport, whether at recreational or international level. Generally, the Trust is able to assist by providing appropriate equipment or a financial contribution towards travel or training expenses.

Organises events to raise funds to support of Helsby High School.

Provides recorded tapes of the local newspaper for the blind or partially sighted and those with a disability which makes reading a strain.
