Annual Horse Show held on the last Bank Holiday Monday in May from which a proportion of the proceeds go to local charities.

RELIEF OF THE POOR

The charity receives donations from Maccabee Lodge, a masonic lodge, members and also raises funds by activities of all members of Maccabee Lodge. Donations are made to charitable/voluntary organisations.

Relief of Poverty in the Parish of Barrow Cheshire

In the interests of the protection and conservation of the environment of Merseyside and the promotion of wider sustainability issues, MET engages in the following activities: organising events, meetings, educational opportunities, fundraising, awarding grants, provision of knowledge and expertise and working in partnership with other organisations.

Promotes conservation within the Dee Estuary and adjacent open sea. Acts as conduit for passing information between members and also other conservation bodies.

The charity was set up to preserve, restore and maintain Trafford Mill which is a Grade II Listed Building of public and historical interest, particularly from the Industrial Revolution. We open to the public on national open days and hosted events, along with personalised tours to interest groups. We operate in the building itself, which is a fine example of living history in today's climate.

TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED VIA THE CHURCH, BUT FUND IS ONLY SMALL.

The key activities are:- coordinate and improve the interpretation of the landscape- protect and enhance the environment- improve the understanding of the heritage of the area- increase public enjoyment- encourage more volunteering- focus on education- celebrate the local cultural aspects- improve rural skills- work with businesses, landowners and local communities

Provision of play areas, maintenance of open space for recreational use

Donations received from public. Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, Lancashire.

The aim is to award small financial help to young people under 21 who suffer financial hardship which would prevent them from pursuing a wish in the field of outdoor activities. This could include mountain walking, canoeing etc for themselves or for joining in activities such as DOE, Operation Raleighetc

Regular family fundays. Discos for teenagers/adults. Trip to theme park. 4 day playscheme during summer holidays. Provide information packs for new parents. Monthly support group meetings. Xmas parties. Fundraising dance. Picnics during summer holidays.

To administer and present the Catherine Chisholm Memorial Lecture by the Manchester Medical Society (Manchester Paediatric Club) at three yearly intervals.
