Relief of Poverty in the Parish of Barrow Cheshire

TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED VIA THE CHURCH, BUT FUND IS ONLY SMALL.

Promotes conservation within the Dee Estuary and adjacent open sea. Acts as conduit for passing information between members and also other conservation bodies.

Raising awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in young peopleProviding free heart screening for young people aged 16-35 for undiagnosed heart conditions using ECG & Echocardiogram screeningsPromoting healthy lifestyle choicesAllocation of free defibrillators in Sixth Form Schools, Colleges, Universities and Public Access defibrillators in local communities.

The alleviation of poverty to individuals within defined parishes within the bounds of Cheshire East Council formerly known as the Borough of Crewe and Nantwich.

The aim is to award small financial help to young people under 21 who suffer financial hardship which would prevent them from pursuing a wish in the field of outdoor activities. This could include mountain walking, canoeing etc for themselves or for joining in activities such as DOE, Operation Raleighetc

The principal activity of the Charity is the collection, administration and distribution of the covenanted / gift aided charitable donations made by Freemasons of the Province of Chehsire

SMALL GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS VIA CHURCH, VERY LITTLE MONEY LEFT AND VIRTUALLY NO INCOME

The charity has a small income that is used to support the work of East Cheshire Area Quaker Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. The income contributes to the insurance of the charity's meeting houses.

To administer and present the Catherine Chisholm Memorial Lecture by the Manchester Medical Society (Manchester Paediatric Club) at three yearly intervals.

To help the poor of Eccleston and Pulford by grant aid.

Providing funding to local maternity services in order to improve access to training.

Donations to other charities and individuals particularly relating to children, homelessness,mental health, medical research, disabled facilities, education/training etc.

Religious

The Sanctuary chaplaincy is a team of volunteer chaplains recruited and trained to provide chaplaincy in retail and other public spaces in the north Cheshire region, to retail staff and members of the public. We offer a pastoral listening ministry, signposting to appropriate services. Making available suitable literature, including Bibles. We also offer prayer as appropriate.

A Charity to secure for the benefit of the public the preservation,restoration,improvementenhancement and maintenance of the building known as the Falcon Inn in the City of Chesteras a building of historical and architecural interest

Provision of educational scholarships/awards.

Fund raising activities to purchase items to enhance the education of the children at school.

Currently involved in micro projects to bring about economic transformation in the Copperbelt area of Zambia.

Church Services are presented with both the regular congregant and the visitor in mind. We minister to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the members of the congregation in our services, giving specific consideration to the seekers or newcomers in our midst who may not necessarily have a church background and as such may not understand the processes and procedures of Christianity.

River Niger Arts activities are the teaching and publishing of research in all aspects of popular culture throughout the United Kingdom but not so as to limit the generality of foregoing the area of the North West of England The Wirral to West Africa project - funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund - recently completed has been signed off by HLF. All accounts reside with them for inspection

The provision of prizes for candidates sitting examinations of the Chartered Insurance Institute within the area administered by the British Insurance Brokers Association, Greater Manchester & West Pennine Region.Such prizes to be awarded to the candidates attaining the most meritorious record in completing the said examinations.
