PROVISION OF SCOUTING ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN LS10/LS26/WF3 BETWEEN THE AGES OF 5.75 AND 14 YEARS.EMPHASIS ON OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES BASED ON SCOUTING ETHICS.

THE PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE OF THE CHARITY IS THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND HARDSHIP AND IN PARTICULAR THE RELIEF OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE VULNERABLE. THIS IS ACHIEVED BY THE PAYMENT OF DONATIONS TO THOSE CONSIDERED WORTHY.

YSES gives grants to young people mainly from Yorkshire to enable them to experience expeditions. Where expeditions have an adventure, education and community focus.

This charity is a parents association raising money for the benefit of the children of St John the Baptist CP School

1) To promote the craft of woodturning for the public benefit and in doing so raise the appreciation of the creativity, skill and heritage of woodturning.2) To advance the education of the public in the craft and skill of woodturning.

We exist to:- to preserve the historic and architectural heritage of the wall, surrounding the world's first nature reserve in Walton, Wakefield, built by Charles Waterton and its immediate vicinity;- to educate the general public in its architecture, geography, natural and social history.

Promote the growing and exhibiting of chrysanthemums throughout the North of England

Promotes the study of foreign languages by young people resident within a 5 mile radius of Dewsbury Town Hall. Grants are awarded to enable young persons to travel abroad, to attend courses at educational establishments in the UK or abroad and to assist young persons with any other proposals which promote the study of foreign languages.

Welfare of serving and ex-serving Air Force people and their dependants

We provide a weekly meeting programme and operate the J.A. Jones Hoober Observatory where we run a Community Access Programme. We also undertake outreach visits to school and community groups.
