Bless offers daily activities which universally aim to reduce isolation and loneliness across a diverse range of ages, backgrounds, health and abilities. We currently deliver our services from our two bases: Upton and North Elmsall Village Hall and our centre in Hemsworth. Many of our activities centre around a creative, physical or educational theme to help people re-engage with their community.

We are a self-funding, self-help charity providing a variety of therapies, information and support to people living with MS and other neurological complaints, their famiies and carers. Our aim is to help members retain mobility and independence following diagnosis of their illness.

Wakefield and District Society for Deaf People specialises in providing community support, engagement and equipment for service users who are deaf, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing. We also provide other services such as sign language training and deaf awareness.

The primary current activities of WYDAN are the provision of accommodation and financial and other support for destitute asylum seekers in Leeds.

The PCC is a voluntary group dedicated to the administration of the fabric and community of the church. The Standbridge Centre deliver services to the people of Kettlethorpe, Wakefield and beyond. The services include healthy eating workshops, fitness activities and programmes around education.

Rescue unwanted dogs, accomodate in secure and loving foster homes, seek new homes for the dogs to owners that are checked for suitability, enable adoption which is covered by an Adoption Contract including animal welfare clauses plus a returns policy if the dog can no longer be kept by the new owners, provide post adoption advice and guidance to new owners, fundraising, website, advertising.

Race Equality Network is an umbrella body representing the Global Majority voluntary sector. We address issues arising from race inequality, poor community relations, and xenophobia by working with the Public and Voluntary sector to deliver more inclusive and equitable services. We collaborate with our key stakeholders to work towards fostering good relations and cohesion between communities.

Havercroft & Ryhill Community Learning Project (HRCLP) continues to develop a range of activities and services to the residents of the two villages and the surrounding areas in line with our charitable objects. Courses for adults continue, alongside our Library, job club, walking group, volunteer led activities and activities for children during school break times.

We provide support to people living with sight loss across the Wakefield District. We do this through a variety of practical and wider wellbeing services, including home visits, Demonstration and Advice events, and a programme of community outreach designed to bring people together for friendship and support. We work closely with colleagues at Wakefield Council and a variety of other partners.

We are a CofE Parish in Horbury, Wakefield, West Yorkshire with 2 churches. Our Vision includes reaching out to the community and offering a friendly welcome to the Christian way of life. Connect in the North works to improve services and opportunities for people with learning difficulties. We offer training, research and consultancy.

The charity is a community centre, open for all and servicing the local community. It runs a small social enterprise from the premises.
