We address issues arising from race inequality, poor community relations, and xenophobia by working with the Public and Voluntary sector to deliver more inclusive and equitable services. The Community Foundation for Wakefield District is a grant making and endowment building charity. The Objects for which the charity is established are:- The Promotion of any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the Wakefield Metropolitan District area. Wakefield and District Society for Deaf People specialises in providing community support, engagement and equipment for service users who are deaf, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing. We also provide other services such as sign language training and deaf awareness.

We are a self-funding, self-help charity providing a variety of therapies, information and support to people living with MS and other neurological complaints, their famiies and carers. Our aim is to help members retain mobility and independence following diagnosis of their illness.

Missional Generation visits Churches, Christian groups regularly along the M62 corridor to offer input and resources such as videos, devotions and other interactive sessions to inspire in their lives an understanding of scripture and how to be good citizens of hope within their communities. We are keen to cheer on local youth leaders and young people to live out the Christian faith.

The charity is a community centre, open for all and servicing the local community. It runs a small social enterprise from the premises.

Provision of sessional daycare for two to four year old children.

As a Christian community we share worship through Sunday and mid-week services; learning and growing in housegroups, spiritual formation groups, baptismal, membership and discipleship groups; and serving through a range of mission activities locally and overseas, by running an emergency night shelter for the homeless and through advocacy on behalf of homeless and asylum seekers.

The charity's activities are based around social activities such as gatherings, festivals, celebration, trips, education, and religious services.

Bless offers daily activities which universally aim to reduce isolation and loneliness across a diverse range of ages, backgrounds, health and abilities. We currently deliver our services from our two bases: Upton and North Elmsall Village Hall and our centre in Hemsworth. Many of our activities centre around a creative, physical or educational theme to help people re-engage with their community.
