Race Equality Network is an umbrella body representing the Global Majority voluntary sector. We address issues arising from race inequality, poor community relations, and xenophobia by working with the Public and Voluntary sector to deliver more inclusive and equitable services. We collaborate with our key stakeholders to work towards fostering good relations and cohesion between communities.

The Objects for which the charity is established are:- The Promotion of any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the Wakefield Metropolitan District area. Wakefield and District Society for Deaf People specialises in providing community support, engagement and equipment for service users who are deaf, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing. We also provide other services such as sign language training and deaf awareness.

Bless offers daily activities which universally aim to reduce isolation and loneliness across a diverse range of ages, backgrounds, health and abilities. We currently deliver our services from our two bases: Upton and North Elmsall Village Hall and our centre in Hemsworth. Many of our activities centre around a creative, physical or educational theme to help people re-engage with their community.

The charity's aim is to help relieve poverty, suffering and distress and prevent disease among the people of the world; and to promote Christian education and evangelism. The grants made by the charity in this annual period reflect these objectives, in particular the promotion of Christian education and evangelism.

Promoting and providing high quality arts education for children and young people.

To apply the income resources of the trust by making grants for the benefit of one or more charitable institutions or individuals, including but not restricted to people with a disability or special needs, education, training or for such other charitable purposes at the trustees discretion.

We are a self-funding, self-help charity providing a variety of therapies, information and support to people living with MS and other neurological complaints, their famiies and carers. Our aim is to help members retain mobility and independence following diagnosis of their illness.

The principal activities of the charity:-- to create a supportive community which caters for the needs of families with a child with additional needs- to deliver high quality arts events, workshops and training sessions- to support, promote and provide training, volunteering and placement opportunities in the arts - to provide a sustainable working environment for participatory arts

As a Christian community we share worship through Sunday and mid-week services; learning and growing in housegroups, spiritual formation groups, baptismal, membership and discipleship groups; and serving through a range of mission activities locally and overseas, by running an emergency night shelter for the homeless and through advocacy on behalf of homeless and asylum seekers.

The Charity's objects are for the benefit of the local community by providing opportunities for the playing of football and other sports capable of improving health and lifestyle.

Havercroft & Ryhill Community Learning Project (HRCLP) continues to develop a range of activities and services to the residents of the two villages and the surrounding areas in line with our charitable objects. Courses for adults continue, alongside our Library, job club, walking group, volunteer led activities and activities for children during school break times.
