THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF YORK AND SURROUNDING AREAS BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PLAYING HOCKEY IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE REGARDLESS OF AGE, GENDER, ETHNICITY OR FAITH.THE PROVISION OF COACHING, OFFICIATING, LEADERSHIP AND VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL MEMBERS AND OTHERS.

The Hut York was set up to provide meaningful and purposeful activities for people with enduring mental health and/or learning disabilities. Currently there are over 200 members. At present we run session on arts, crafts, games, a men's lunch club and vocational, social and life-skills along with work experience. The activities do change and are tailored to individuals' health and interests.

To further the religious and other charitable work of the Church of England in the parish of Holy Trinity with St. John, Micklegate and St Martin cum Gregory, York including the repair and maintenance of Holy Trinity Church, Micklegate and St Marin-cum-Gregory Church, Micklegate

The primary object of all PCCs is the promotion of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the doctrines and practices of the Church of England. The PCC (Powers) Measure 1956 states that the PCC 'is to co-operate with the Minister in promoting in the parish the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical'.

Peasholme Charity addresses poverty and social exclusion for vulnerable people in and around the city of York who are experiencing or heading towards 'crisis ' (lacking shelter, security or an ability to sustain oneself). We work to achieve our aims by offering specialist one-to-one support services which provide advice, guidance and signposting with respect to housing, benefits, finance and debt.

To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children through community groups.

The charity's activities are to advance the Christian religion and to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities with the object of improving their conditions of life in the Haxby & Wigginton area of North Yorkshire by operating a Christian cafe.

North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre provides a community-based service to help families whose lives are affected by illness or disability. Music Therapy involves active music making as a means of improving physical, psychological and emotional functioning. The charity also provides information, further education, presentations/workshops and a programme of cultural events.

Snappy offer Play , Recreational and pre vocational opportunities to Children and Young people with wide ranging disabilities .

Acomb Baptist Church provides opportunities for people to discover more about the Christian faith and also provides opportunities for them to express and explore that faith in through engaging in Christian worship. The Church also provides opportunities for Christian service to the local community, a practical way of expressing and applying faith in every day life.

A wide range of educational activities are provided for the children working in the spirit of the learning and development requirements outlined in EYFS 2021 alongside the principles of playwork.

Religious activities

The policy of the Federation is to raise funds & organise courses, lectures & events to advance the education of women in citizenship, public affairs - both national & international in music, drama and other cultural subjects. We aim to improve and develop conditions in rural life, give instruction and training in all branches of home economics, handicrafts, health & social welfare & Agriculture.

Our Charity aims to provide (a) a place of worship for Orthodox Christians who are predominantly members of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Great Britain, (b) educational opportunities for the community we serve (of Greeks and Greek Cypriots who are first, second, or even sometimes third generation immigrants), (c) social, welfare and cultural activities, and (d) an information centre.

Community playgroup providing care and educational activities for children aged 2 - 4 years. Morning sessions from 8.25am - 11.25am monday to friday, Afternoon sessions running 11.55pm - 2.55pm Monday to Friday. a lunch club is held every day 11.25 to 11.55. The setting offers government funding for children aged 2 and also funding places for 3 and 4 year olds.

Makes grant to individuals. The beneficiaries are communicants of the Church of England resident in the Diocese of York, Liverpool and Manchester.

To maintain and manage the Community Centre, to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Tang Hall, in a common effort to advance education and wellbeing. Provides facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreational and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
