The policy of the Federation is to raise funds & organise courses, lectures & events to advance the education of women in citizenship, public affairs - both national & international in music, drama and other cultural subjects. We aim to improve and develop conditions in rural life, give instruction and training in all branches of home economics, handicrafts, health & social welfare & Agriculture.

York Pride raises awareness of LGBT issues by promoting and staging events,taking part in campaigning and commentary in the media, and providing support to other LGBT charities and voluntary organisations. We also promote the provision of information, advice and support that celebrate LGBT lives and history.

We are a small community based playgroup operating from Carr Children's Centre. We offer places to both 2 and 3-4 year olds, we accept both 2 year funding and the 30hrs. Been a charity based playgroup we try and keep our fees as low as possible so that everyone can access our provision. We offer Early Talk Boost to both children and parents who require support in speech and language.

The charity provides a volunteer search and rescue service to members of the public in distress on the North York Moors, Howardian Hills, Yorkshire Wolds and in any other such place as requested.

The raising and use of funds to support worthy charitable causes, locally, nationally and internationally in furtherance of the objects of Rotary.

To relieve the needs of women in the York area who are experiencing emotional and mental healthdifficulties or trauma by the provision of high-quality, low-cost counselling and support services.

Community playgroup providing care and educational activities for children aged 2 - 4 years. Morning sessions from 8.25am - 11.25am monday to friday, Afternoon sessions running 11.55pm - 2.55pm Monday to Friday. a lunch club is held every day 11.25 to 11.55. The setting offers government funding for children aged 2 and also funding places for 3 and 4 year olds.

The PCC offers a range of services and events during the week and over the course of the year that our community find both beneficial and spiritually uplifting. St Luke's provides pastoral care across the parish in various ways. The introduction of 'joyful Connections', which takes place in the Church Hall, works towards combatting social isolation.

The objects of the York Medical Society are the advancement and diffusion of medical knowledge amongst the medical profession and the general public and the encouragement of the publication of original contributions to the study of medical science and to make donations to charitable and other worthy causes and provide medical student bursaries at the Directors' discretion.

Promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the church: pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. Enabling people to live out their faith by developing their knowledge of the gospel, providing pastoral care and a focal point for community activities open to all. Providing financial and prayer support to home and overseas mission agencies and charities.

We try to enable people to live out their faith as part of our community through:Worship and prayer, learning about the Gospel and developing their knowledge and trust in Jesus.Provision of pastoral care for people living in the local community.Missionary and outreach work.To facilitate this work we maintain the fabric of the Church buildings.

Our Association provides direct assistance to children and adults with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their parents/carers within North and West Yorkshire. We provide welfare grants, subsidised holidays and mutual support through activities, outings, workshops and seminars.

TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN UNDER STATUTORY SCHOOL AGE BY ENCOURAGING PARENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND PROVIDE FOR THE NEEDS OF THEIR CHILDREN THROUGH COMMUNITY GROUPS

Lollipop provides regular free activities for families of children & young people with any degree of hearing loss. Through such activities families have the opportunity to meet & build friendships with others, with whom they share their experience of deafness. Activities also encourage members to realise their true potential & in doing so build confidence, raise self esteem & develop self identity

The Merchant Taylors maintain the 14th century guild hall (making it available for use by the public) and conduct the dayt to day business of the guild.Financial grants are made to needy young people from the York area to assist their advancement in the fields of art, craftsmanship and music.

We give aid overseas to children, the poor and for education. We support ministers and bible students.We run seminars in the Uk and help churches

To provide Almshouse accommodation to poor persons who are resident in the City of York and to provide grants to individuals and organisations to benefit people in need who are resident in the City of York.

The CIO based in Copmanthorpe, York enhances the development and education of local children under statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children through community groups and by providing appropriate Ofsted registered play, education and care facilities and offering Stay and Play sessions for children and their carers.
