As the Friends of Ludgvan School we work with the School, parents and local community to host fundraising events and activities . These events help raise money for items needed by the School , advance education and build the School community.

Village Hall used by the residents of Grampound Road

Weekly rehearsals and two annual concerts with professional (but usually student) soloists provide classical music playing opportunities for our members who include many pensioners and schoolchildren. Playing days are organised from time to time to allow 50-60 local younger and inexperienced schoolchildren to experience orchestral playing.

Provides funding to enhance the education of pupils at Boscastle C.P. School.

Competitive sprint and marathon canoeing/kayaking.

Promoting friendship and education for women

Rotary Club financially supporting mainly local charities.Also hands on support to community projects

Advance the education of pupils by developing effective relationships between staff and parents of the school. Engaging in or providing facilities/equipment to support the education and welfare of the pupils.

To provide a leisure facility for the use of ALL in the community to participate in tennis, including the provision of coaching with competitive opportunities. To advertise and promote the club with our governing body the LTA and working with other organisations, achieve growing participation within the wider community whilst ensuring that equity and equal opportunities are observed.

Meeting other members of the organisation,whether at social events or ceremonial events and maintain the traditions of the Royal Navy, and support those in need.

The provision of recreational & leisure facilities in the interest of social welfare and the quality of life in adults aged 19 and over who have physical and learning disabilities in particular through the provision of equipment and services to the John Daniel Centre and to other groups and organisations not provided from statutory funds.

Penzance Gymnastics Club offers a wide range of gymnastic classes, six days a week, for all ages and abilities: from beginners to competitive gymnasts, with focused programmes for training and development in a wide varitey of disciplines.

We organise various fundraising activities during the school year, along with helping out at school events such as providing refreshments at sports day, school plays etc. Our main event is a summer fayre, but we also have smaller xmas and easter fayres and discos at least every term.

BASICS Cornwall provides volunteer emergency response doctors provide advance pre-hospital care at incidents across Cornwall. Our doctors attend incidents in conjunction with South Western Ambulance Service and deliver advanced medical procedures to critically ill or injured patients. BASICS Cornwall raises funds to equip and fund our doctors so that they can attend incidents.

To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Mawnan and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.

SCOUT GROUP

Propagation of the art and skill of woodturning in the district of Bodmin, North Cornwall

A small group of parents and teachers who give up their own time to help with school fundraising and publicity events. Monies raised are allocated to projects in order to improve school facilities and encourage student interests and participation.

The village hall, meeting room and kitchen is available to hire by the public for social, recreational and educational functions. It serves as a community hub for local residents and the wider community and is rented out for various events, such as, meetings, coffee mornings, parties, wakes, workshops, craft groups, exercise groups, mental health support, amateur productions and corporate events.
