Religious activities

HOLDING REGULAR WORSHIP SERVICES TO PROMOTE THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN THE COMMUNITY. Also our Church is affiliated with Evangelical Alliance.

We organise various activities and events with the purpose of raising funds to provide facilities and equipment, or to sponsor activities or events, that we feel will directly or indirectly enrich our children's school lives.We also have a role to play in bringing pupils, parents, carers and staff together as part of a wider school community and in engaging with the local community.

Building suitable for an eye clinic with accommodation for medical staff has been constructed in Kondavil Sri Lanka. Purchase of the necessary equipment has been made . We have recruited locally trained and registered doctors for the eye clinic.Approval has been obtained for the eye clinic in Kondavil and for a mobile clinic. COVID has disrupted activities and 3 clinics have now been held.

Educational (speakers) and leisure activities (outings and socials) for retired elderly men and women.

Fund raising for local and overseas charities

London Durgotsav Committee, a charitable organisation established in 1963 by few pioneer dedicated Bengalees with the help of late Shri Tusar Kanti Ghosh, doyen of Bengalee journalism who edited Jugantar and Amrita Bazar Patrika, made possible for devotees in London and around areas to have the priviledge of Durga Puja celebration over the past 56 years.

ACDF undertakes a wide range of community development initiatives aimed at engaging and involving young people from diverse communities in self-help programmes, empowerment and regeneration activities and uses the performing arts to increase youth involvement and take up. Our Getfamilyar Project is contributing significantly to building bridges amongst young people from different boroughs.

The charity objects are to:? Relieve the poverty and hardship within people in the community. ? Advance the education of the members and to facilitate the provision and access to training on basic skills in English and Mathematics. ? Provide recreational and leisure activities to reduce social isolation or distress.? Deliver health and nutrition information to the the community.

The activities of the Charity are: Drop-in Services, Support Groups, Hospital and Home Visits, Translation and interpretation, Advice and Information, Advocacy and referrals, conducting Workshops and seminars and Promotion of better health and improved quality of life to the African Community.

OUR AIM IS TO RAISE MONEY FOR ENHANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE CHILDREN AT ST MARK'S CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL, SOUTH NORWOOD, LONDON SE25. WE HOLD VARIOUS FUND-RAISING ACTIVITES, SUCH AS DISCOS, SUMMER FAIRS AND QUIZZES. THE COMMITTEE DISCUSS AND DECIDE UPON SUGGESTIONS FROM THE SCHOOL OR FROM MEMBERS AS TO APPROPRIATE PURPOSES FOR EXPENDITURE OF PTA FUNDS.

Health promotion talks, health awareness raising, Yoga Classes, community engagement workshops.

ACYDA currently is operating within the New Addington and Croydon locality dealing with sensitization with substance abuse and life skills out door and indoor activities dealing with HIV/AIDS for young people within the community. ACYDA has also extended this activities to Sierra Leone in Kabala and Waterloo helping school going children with school supplies and payment of fees.

For the local support & social interaction of both serving & ex members of Royal Navy. This is under the auspices the countrywide charity Royal Navy Association Charity No 266982

We provide football for boys and girls aged from 8 to 12 years inclusive regardless of race or religion and apart from asking parents for a small annual membership fee the football is provided free of charge.

KASSSI was founded in July 2007, (registered 2010) with the aim of supporting the Health, Social Welfare and Education of children, young people and their families who live in rural communities in Jamaica and are experiencing disadvantages as a result of economic challenges and social isolation and exclusion.

Nov. 2017 Ultrasound scanner, X-ray film, Hematology analyzer, Microplate reader,Microplate washer, Color Doppler, HbA1c analyzer, Anesthesia machine,Ventilator, Patient monitor, ECG, operation table, Defibrillator,Hospital beds, Slit lamp microscope. Donated to the Kingston Public hospital. June 17Medical equipment and beds were donated to Princess Margaret Hospital. Valued over £8000
